Shah Rukh Khan will not attend the IIFA 2010 Awards

Bollywood actor, Shah Rukh Khan, is not sure to join in the most popular award ceremony function, IIFA, which will take place in Sri Lanka between June 3 and June 5. What he excused for not coming for IIFA is the burden of too much work.

Shah Rukh Khan has written on his Twitter account, “I don't think I will be able to come for IIFA...too much work here, will miss Colombo.”

Shah Rukh Khan was named as the captain of Indian celebrities’ cricket team. It is reported that Hrithik Roshan will be captaining the star side because of SRK absence.

Indian celebrities’ cricket team will play against Sri Lankan cricketers with the aim of collecting money to rehabilitate the former Tamil child soldiers.

It is perhaps that Hrithik Roshan is the major star power of the event as star couple, Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan, will not be attending here. Even, the face of IIFA, Amitabh Bachchan, will make his brief appearance in Sri Lanka.

It is also reported that Salman Khan has been protested by the Tamil community group members for his proposed Sri Lanka visit for IIFA awards.

However, Lara Dutta won’t be performing this year but she will be one of the co-hosts of the awards.

It will be interesting to see if IIFA 2010 Awards can attract the audience without the big names of Bollywood.

IIFA 2010 Awards will help to make bridge between India and Sri Lanka

One of the most popular award ceremonies, IIFA, which will start from June 3-5, has been criticized for being hosted at the Sri Lankan captain, Colombo.

This prestigious and start studded awards ceremony has been boycotted by most of the Tamil citizens from different parts of the country as it is alleged that many Tamil citizens was killed during the fight between Tamil Tigers and . It is also reported that Bollywood stars were requested to boycott the event to show their respect to the dead civilians. It is seen that IIFA will make the relation between the two countries from sweet to sour.

However, it is believed that IIFA will help Sri Lanka to make stronger ties and improve better relations with India.

With the vision of building bridge across businesses, communities, nations and cinema, creating ‘One people, One world’, IIFA has started its journey in Sri Lanka. This event has come as a 'big opportunity' to promote Sri Lanka in Bollywood.

Sri Lankan Captain, Kumar Sangakkara, is a big fan of Bollywood movies and like all the Khans. He believes that IIFA would help Sri Lanka to go beyond all the barriers, including social and political. It would help to make bridge between the two countries. The IIFA 2010 Awards will be enjoyed by the Sri Lankan people.

To rehabilitate former Tamil Tigers child soldiers, a charity match will be played between Sri Lankan selectors and Indian celebrities. Money that would collect through this humanity project will be used to re-establish, re-educated and rehabilitated the child soldiers.

Kumar Sangakkara appreciated it and said, “It will be lot of fun and lot of entertainment. It is also a very touching humanitarian cause as a village for 100 families will be built. It is a great initiative”.

Bollywood has international appeal around the world. In Sri Lanka, it has huge popularity. It is true that IIFA has become a great source of entertainment for Sri Lankan people. If super stars boycott this event then it will make negative impact about Sri Lanka around the world.

She was extraordinary against the former world number one and last year’s runner up Dinara Safina, whom she defeated in the first round of this tournament.

"Yesterday I took an MRI. I went to the clinic, and the doctor said 'of course don't play. It's too risky'.

"The results were not good, but I had the same problem before so I feel if I'm standing in the middle I don't feel the pain.

India vs Zimbabwe 1st ODI 2010: Preview and Live Score

After the end of Twenty20 World Cup 2010, Zimbabwe and India are going to play their first one-day international game in the upcoming tri-nation ODI series in Zimbabwe. Host team, Zimbabwe, will take on India on May 28, 2010 in the first match of triangular series. This match will be played at Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo. It is scheduled to start at 07:00 GMT and 12:30 Indian Standard Time.

India:

Twenty-four-year-old player, Suresh Raina, will be seen leading Indian cricket team in this tour series. He has become the 20th Indian captain and the first from Uttar Pradesh. It is going to be the most important match in his career as he will make his captaincy debut against Zimbabwe.

Suresh has not gained enough experience to lead any team. He has led the India A team in the past and his home state of Uttar Pradesh.

No doubt, it will not be an easy task for him as he will have to lead a young Indian squad. It will be interesting to see if he can successfully lead the team.

Before leaving India, he attended his first-ever pre-tour press conference in Mumbai. When he was asked if he had got any tips from regular captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, he revealed that he was asked to keep things simple.

It will be interesting to see if Suresh Raina pays attention to his skipper’s advice when it comes to the action in Zimbabwe. India’s most experienced player, Sachin Tendulkar, told him to be humble. His humble attitude will help him to achieve everything.

Getting captaincy means extra responsibility. It will not be different for Suresh Raina. He takes it as a big challenge. He played under Sourav Ganguly, Rahul Dravid and MS Dhoni, who are known as the best captains in the history of Indian cricket. Let’s see if he follows their foot steps and takes India to a better position.

MS Dhoni, who was called “Captain Cool” for his cool gesture during team’s serious situation, has been rested for tiredness. His fans will miss him a lot. However, it is expected that Dhoni will make his come back as soon as possible.

Bowling line up will be the main cause of concern for the Indian cricket team as there are no senior bowlers. Selectors rested some senior players from this short tour series.

To fill up the gap, selectors called some young and inexperienced bowlers. No doubt, it will be a challenging task for them, but at the same time, it will be interesting to see if they can support their team.

However, skipper, Suresh Raina, said that Zimbabwe tour will be a learning experience for the inexperienced bowlers. He also said that bowlers will get a chance to compete in the seamer-friendly tracks to secure their positions before the seniors return.

Suresh Raina will largely depend on Umesh Yadav, Vinay Kumar and Ashok Dinda as they have good form in domestic cricket. Their performance brought them in the main squad. Now, they will have to struggle hard to prove their quality and advance their career in the international cricket.

Vinay Kumar has been called as the replacement of injured Praveen kumar. He, along with Ashok Dinda, will play an important role for team India.

Zimbabwean venues are helpful for pace bowling so, Indian cricket team will have to use more pace bowlers to get the benefit of the pitch. However, Indian batsmen are not skilled in bounce and pace. Because of these two weaknesses they were eliminated from the Super Eight round in the ICC Twenty20 World Cup 2010 that took place in West Indies.

Despite India’s poor performance in the recently concluded T20 tournament, Suresh Raina is hopeful of a better performance. Now, they are going to play in the longer format of cricket game that has no similarity with the shortest version of cricket game.

Fans will be interested to see how Indian cricket team performs without some high profile players like MS Dhoni, Sachin Tendulkar and Zaheer Khan. Raina is considered as the only experienced player in Indian squad. He will have to perform under huge pressure. It might also affect his performance.

Zimbabwe:

Zimbabwe cricket team will also play under a new captain, Elton Chigumbura. Elton Chigumbura is looking forward to the series as an opportunity to improve their own game against two fielding weakened nations.

It is a great opportunity for his team to prove that they can play well against the top nations in international cricket. He will be looking to win as many games as possible and continue the form.

As Indian cricket team reached Zimbabwe without the majority of their senior players, host team will be looking forward to take advantage.

Indian cricket team has been drafted as the second favorite team following Sri Lanka in the tri-nation series.

However, host team Zimbabwe is no less powerful. They improved their performance day by day. In the T20 World Cup 2010 warm-up matches, they defeated two strong teams: Australia and Pakistan.

Another reason to give Zimbabwe the favorite tag is that Indian selectors have selected a second-string Indian team where nine senior players have not been included.

Despite India’s shocking performance in T20 world cup, stand-in captain, Suresh Raina, believes his young side will make big bounce back in the winning streak. This tour series can reduce India’s pain as they failed to get the trophy second time. Indian cricket team is the number one in Test ranking. They will try hard to take the number one position on ODI ranking as well.

It is also believed that India vs Zimbabwe 1st tri-nation ODI series will be the much viewed game. Fans of both countries will be watching to see this game live on TV. Ten Sports will broadcast this match live in South Asian sub-continent including India, Bangladesh and Pakistan etc. Doordarshan will also broadcast this match live in India. Supersport has got the right to broadcast in Africa.

Here, I am giving some websites name where from you can get live score of this match:

In the end, the India vs Zimbabwe is going to be one of the most exciting and nail biting ODI matches in the tri-nation series.

Work and Rest, Rest and Work

This is a very simple rule but I often forget. I ignore the matter of rest and that is why, when I am supposed to work, I am tired and exhausted and cannot work with full focus. As a result, I do a lot of works but I am all the time tired and the works I do cannot bring the desired results. Well, I cannot blame anyone but myself because when I am not 100% fresh but in a tired mood then I use my full potential. This is a simple matter but I failed to realize until now.
Of course, my own life has been full of ups and downs and I have been very unlucky to suffer a series of misfortunes. However, now, things look much brighter and I should be able to rest as much as needed at last.
From today, I want to again leave coffee, coke and if possible tea. Tea is not bad like coffee and Coke but tea also disrupts my normal sleeping. The most important to follow is this matter: work and rest, rest and work. This is a very simple matter but for many years, I forgot it. Now, I have to again follow it.

Rain Brought a lot of Comfort to the Body

Again I am losing my battle in weight loss and eating junk foods. For example, yesterday, I drank 2 cups of coffee and 3 glasses of Coke. Unfortunately, it was a very bad day and I was out whole day and it was very tough for me. So, I ate a lot of junk foods too: French fry, fried chicken and kebab. It is a very hot month of May.
Fortunately, this evening, storm and rain came. Now, the weather is very lovely and I feel very fresh in my body.
Today is a very big day for more than 1.2 million students in my country as SSC Results 2010 will be published. I sat for the exam exactly 20 years ago in 1990. Thanks God I passed that exam with a very good grade.

England and Pakistan Move to the Semifinals

England and Pakistan have advanced to the semifinals of T20 World Cup 2010. Two matches took place today in the group and in the earlier part of the day, Pakistan won their match against South Africa by 11 runs.

This defeat meant that South Africa was out of the tournament. However, the win did not guarantee the advancement of Pakistan right away. Instead, the Pakistani players had to wait for the result of the match between England and New Zealand.

England won the match by 3 wickets and it helped Pakistan move in the semifinals. Pakistan is the reigning champion of T20 World Cup.

Coffee and Coke were my enemies

I know that there are many people who can sleep anytime anywhere. I am not one of them and I have really a tough time to sleep. Anyway, when I drink coffee or Coke (any soft drinks) then I find it hard to fall into sleep easily. Unfortunately, last 5 years, I drank both of them a lot and only in the last 6 months, I completely left coffee and cut back on consumption of soft drinks significantly. As a result, I have started sleep better and last two nights, I got shocked that I could sleep even at 1 AM.
The lesson I have learnt is that I need a complete change in my life style. If you have same problem like me then try to find out what are the things that cause problem with your sleeping. Try to leave those habits.

It is Time to Start Full Time Working

My weight has not decreased but I feel much better than the past. I used to eat spicy mutton curry almost every day. I used to drink Coke and Coffee almost every day too. I have been able to leave all of these things. So, I feel much better than the past at last. So, now, I have to focus on going back to full time working. Now, I can perhaps come back to my work. Last few days, I have started to get fresh and regain my energy.
The bad sickness of last 10 months has perhaps become a blessing in disguise for me. It forced me to take rest after many years. I cannot remember when last time, I rested this way.
Even this obesity has become a good blessing because I was forced to change eating habit. I realized the value of water fasting. I could leave both coffee and Coke. Perhaps, I am repeating the same thing over and again in the last few days.

Another Sleepless Night I just Passed

It seems to me that right now, sleeping has become a bigger problem than losing weight. I’m not losing weight but at the same time I’m not gaining any extra either. However, I’m finding it almost impossible to fight against the sleeping problem as night after night I’m not having any sleep. Then, I am sleeping at day time and it is destroying my routine and all my works.
What will happen after five hours is that I will be forced to get up from bed and at that time I will be half sleepy. As a result, it should be impossible for me to concentrate on the works that I have to do today. So, I will be forced to drink two or three cups of tea and at night I will again start to feel very fresh and will not have any sleep. I really wish that I could change this matter and go back to normal sleeping.
Well, tonight I want to be awake for British Election and I will enjoy live results in TV channels.

It is Going to be a Long War Against Overweight and Obesity

I am hanging on 102 KG for the last few days. I am busy with some works and I am traveling to another country after a few days. So, it is not the good time to be on diet or decrease some weight. I am planning to start walking and follow a diet after a few days. However, I have not given up hope because I now know that it is a long struggle.
Even if I can lose weight significantly and go back to 85 or 90 KG, still I will need to keep on fighting.
For the last 5 years, I dependent on coffee and Coke for my strength. Now, I am getting my energy naturally and I have started to feel younger. I am learning not to put my health in danger for any work. In fact, my main problem is that often, I do several works at the same time. So, things get out of control and sometimes I have to work whole day and whole night. I have to leave even drinking tea and then I can control my sleeping time better.
If you read it then you will get a lot of information about Obesity in USA. it is very tragic that fast food companies sell their foods in school cafeteria there.

Don’t be Workaholic if You Want to Lose Weight

Yesterday, my plan was to eat just one time and I ate in the evening. But then at night I felt very hungry and I had to eat again. The main reason that I felt so hungry was that I was working a lot. Now, it was not any kind of physical work. I was just sitting at my computer and Blogging. I did it with a lot of focus and I became very hungry and I felt that I must eat something.
My main problem is that I’m fond of working hard and if I do not work then I feel depressed. It is not a bad quality because I’m not a lazy person and I’m never afraid of any responsibility. However, the bad part is that being too much addicted to work is dangerous for health.
I have not learned to take care of my health in a good way. In fact, I neglect my health a lot. But now, my plan is that I will try to keep all my works within four to six hours and then take care of my health. Fortunately, I have learnt the importance of having good health after suffering a lot for the last one year. So, this time, I’m hopeful that I will not go back to my old habit of being addicted to my work.

Pakistan vs Australia ICC T20 World Cup 2010: Match Analysis and Live Score Information

Defending champion, Pakistan, will face Australia in their last match on 2nd May 2010 with the hope of becoming group champion. This match will be played at Beausejour Stadium in St Lucia. Millions of fans around the world are eagerly waiting to see this game live on TV. This match will kick off at 17:30 GMT and 13:30 West Indian Time.

Pakistan cricket team has already ensured their place in the super eight round after defeating Bangladesh by 21 runs. Now, they will take on Australia to be the group champion in group A. However, it is going to be the first game for Australian cricket team. I hope that they do not want to take any risk to be upset by Bangladesh. That is why, they will struggle hard to win the match in any cost.

Odds:

It is really impossible for anyone to predict who will win this match. Both Pakistan and Australia had poor performance in warm-up matches. Both of them were beaten by minnow Zimbabwe. It will be interesting to see if Pakistan cricket team can remain their unbeaten form or not. Who do you think will be the group champion in group A: Pakistan or Australia?

Highest time World Cup Champion team, Australia, has been ruling the cricket world for more than one decade. Despite performing well in both ODI and Test cricket, they could not win any trophy in the shortest version of cricket game. They feel upset for their failure in T20 cricket. Now, Australia is now confident about their success in this event. They have come West Indies with the aim of winning the champions trophy and that is why Australian selectors announced a strong squad. They will seek inspiration from their previous victory against Pakistan.

It will be an acid test for skipper, Michael Clarke. The success of Australian cricket team will depend on him. He was named captain after Ricky Ponting announcing his retirement from T20 cricket last September to concentrate on playing Test and ODI cricket. He has already proved himself as a dependable batsman. He rescued his team many times. Let us see if he can guide his team successfully as a captain.

Strength of Batting:

Australia has strong batting and bowling up. Their batting line up consists of some hard hitter batsmen like Shane Watson, David Warner, Cameron White and Brad Haddin. All rounder Andrew Symonds and James Hopes will play an effective role in the middle order position. Dan Christian is the uncapped all rounder in Australian squad. He is supposed to make his debut with this T20 World Cup.

Strength of Bowling:

Australian bowling line up looks much stronger and fearsome. Selectors included three fast bowlers who can bowl at 145 km/h per hour. Mitchell Johnson, Dirk Nannes and Ryan Harris are in good form. Opposite teams will have a tough time to face them.

Brett Lee is out of Australia squad for injury:

Perhaps Australian cricket team will have to face a tough challenge in their first group match against Pakistan because of the absence of their leading fast bowler, Brett Lee, who returns back to Australia on Saturday after sustaining an injury in his right forearm during the warm-up match against Zimbabwe. His injury ruled him out of the Twenty20 World Cup. It came as a shock withdrawal for the whole Australian cricket team. However, this injury also raised question whether he can continue his international career. There is no doubt that Australian cricket team will have to suffer a lot due to his absence. He is an experienced fast bowler. So, it will be a difficult task for the selectors to find a best replacement in his place. May be, he will be replaced by Ryan Harris.

Injury is a very common thing for Brett Lee. Since December 2008, he has fallen into injury five times including ankle surgery, side strain, elbow surgery and a fractured thumb. This time it will take him long time to be recovered from injury.

Chairman of the selectors, Andrew Hilditch, is hopeful about Brett Lee that he will be recovered soon and make his strong comeback. To remain his position in Australian squad, he will have to produce his career-best form.

Pakistan fast bowler, Umar Gul, who was the highest wicket taker in last year’s T20 World Cup, could not join with Pakistan squad because of his injury. However, he was successfully replaced by Mohammad Sami. However, they will be aware of their batting line up.

Team India would be full of confidence after the easy victory in the first gdame, while South Africa will be looking for a winning start in the tournament.

Match: India vs South Africa, Group C, ICC World Twenty20 2010,

Date: 2 may 2010

Venue: Gros Islet, St Lucia

Kick off: 13:30 GMT; 09:30 Local; 19:00 India; 15:00 South Africa

Indian cricketers may feel that they are already through to the Super Eight thanks to their win over the Afghans, but they should remember that causing upset is nothing new to this confident Afghan team who recently defeated Ireland in a warm-up match. So, if they can cause an upset against South Africa and India loses to South Africa tomorrow, then India would be in trouble. Naturally, India would not take the match lightly and would be looking to pick up full points from the game.

Last year’s semi finalist, South Africa, has a bigger ambition this time. In fact, Smith and co. would be determined to put an end to their long-time hope of winning a world cup. A number of South African cricketers like Jacques Kallis and Albie Morkel have been in good form coming back from IPL. So, there should not be any lack in their confidence level. However, the Protease are always ill-fated when it come to world cup. They went close to winning world cup titles many times in the past, but never achieved it yet. South Africa fans believe that their hopes would be fulfilled in T20 world cup 2010.

IOL reported:

At the last count, it was 12 failed attempts, and Graeme Smith and his 2010 troops do not want it to stretch to unlucky No13.
South Africa, though, would be foolish to look that far ahead as the immediate danger lies immediately ahead in the shape of India.

It is true that India did not have to struggle to win over Afghanistan, but one thing is for sure that it was not a very convincing win for the Indians. Chasing a target of 116, India lost 3 wickets and played almost 15 overs. However, it was a pretty descent start for India, the winner of the inaugural twenty20 world cup 2007.

Afghanistan players did not make it easy for India as they fought back after putting only 115 runs on the board.

The Hindu reported:

Afghanistan were impressive in both bowling and fielding. Left arm speedster Shapoor Zadran worked up a good pace.

Riht-arm medium fast Dawalat Ahmadzai got the wicket of Gautam Gambhir with Mohammad Nabi taking a fine catch at cover point.

Afghanistan’s bowlers made good use of slow nature of the turf and did manage to tie down the Indian batsmen in the middle overs.

Before the start of the tournament, everybody was saying that batting was the main strength of Indian team. However, as far as the first match performance goes, Indian pacers outperformed their batsmen. Praveen Kumar, Nehra and Zaheer Khan were really impressive and it would be great if they can continue the momentum in the coming games. Back in 2003, India reached the world cup final (ODI) in South Africa and three pacers including Srinath, Nehra and Zaheer Khan led their bowling attack from the front. Srinath is not playing anymore, but it seems that this pace-trio including Praveen Kumar would contribute a lot to India’s success. If India looks to replicate their 2007 success, then its pacers must play a big role in the pacer friendly Caribbean condition.

South African is a balanced side. It has big hitters like Smith, Gibbs, Loots Bosman, Villiers and Boucher and effective all rounders like Kallis, Duminy and Albie Morkel. Led by Dale Steyn, South African pace attack includes Morkel brothers, Langeveldt, in-form Kallis, Rory Kleinveldt and young Juan Theron.

Indian batting line looks pretty strong too. Open Murali Vijay showed that he has the mettle to replace someone like Virender Sehwag. His opening partner Gautam Gambhir played some good innings in IPL, but more than that Raina, Dhoni and Yusuf Pathan are in good form, while for Yuvraj Singh, this is the biggest stage to come back with form. Ravinder Jadeja looks determined to get past its IPL nightmare.

Are Indian Players Tired from IPL: T20 World Cup 2010

India is going to open their T20 World Cup campaign later today in a match against Afghanistan. Indian players expected to win the match very easily because Afghanistan is perhaps the lastly ranked team in the tournament. However, there is some concern among many fans in India that the players just finished playing IPL only five days ago. They may become some tired and exhausted.
If the players are exhausted and they do badly in T20 World Cup 2010 then it will break the heart of many people in the country. People are very passionate in India about cricket so, BCCI officials matter should take this matter very seriously and try to motivate the players perform very well. If India cannot win the trophy of the tournament or even at least reach the final then many people in India will get angry then I am sure the media will criticize IPL very bad way. I guess that India vs Afghanistan match would not be a big obstacle today.
Of course, IPL is a money making machine for BCCI officials. They do not care about whether India becomes the champion of T20 World Cup or not. Their main conscious is to earn maximum amount of money from IPL. So, I guess that they are ready to face some criticism and then just forget the criticism and prepare for the next season of the IPL. Of course, before the next season of IPL, there is Champions League T20 cricket that will take place in South Africa this time.
