Sol Campbell Considering Celtic Move

Sol Campbell is now in transfer talks with Scottish club Celtic. The Arsenal defender’s shot-term contract expired at the end of the season. Arsenal is interested to hand him a one-year contract extension, but the former England centre back wants 2-year extension. It is reported Celtic is interested to give him a 2-year contract.

So, it seems he may leave London for Celtic this summer. Campbell has admitted that he is serious considering Celtic and would talk to the club officials.

“I’ve spoken with Neil about moving to Celtic. And I’ve been impressed with what he had to say. Celtic is a serious option for me. We’re talking, although we haven’t yet discussed figures. Nothing is set in stone,” the defender told The Sun.

Sol Campbell joined Arsenal in January following a fall-out with League 2 side Notts County at the start of the last season. The veteran’s performance was impressive with Arsenal in the short term, but his stay at the club is not yet confirmed.
