Dimitar Berbatov Retires from International Football

Manchester Unitred striker Dimitar Berbatov has announced his retirement from Bulgarian national team. The decision came as a big surprise for many as he is still 29 which seems to be too early for retirement from international football.

Dimitar Berbatov said that he had taken the decision by himself, not by the influence of anybody else. He thinks that there are many talented players in Bulgaria who want to prove their talent as strikers and he sees good future for Bulgaria national team. He also confirmed that his retirement decision has nothing to do with the criticism he is suffering for his recent poor form.

The striker has been under huge pressure at Manchester Untied as he is struggling for form since joining the club in 2008 for a free of £30.75m from Tottenham Hotspur. There are many who even suggest Alex Ferguson may offload the striker in Summer transfer window.

However, Berbatov said that he would stay at Manchester United and play for the club until his contract expires. He also added that he had the quality to get success with Manchester United.
