Southampton could Keep Hold on Arsenal Target Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain
Arsenal could lose out on Southampton winger Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. The 17-year-old has been a target of Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger and the two clubs met to discuss the terms of a possible deal. However, they failed to reach an agreement. So, Chamberlain’s move to Emirates in the current transfer window now seems to be uncertain.
The Southampton hotshot has also attracted attention from other Premier League clubs including Manchester United, Liverpool and Fulham. Having realized the market demand, Southampton officials have reportedly put a £10 million tag on Chamberlain who is reportedly eyeing a move to Arsenal. Moreover, it is also believed that Southampton wanted to keep Chamberlain on loan until the end of this season.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is well-known for picking out talented and skilled players and building them into world cup players. Moreover, Wenger always provides enough chances to the young players. So, naturally a player of Chamberlain’s age who is talented would love to join the North London club.
Wenger always maintains a low profile when it comes to big money signing and he never overpays for the players. So, it is pretty much understandable that he would not pay a price around £10 million for a 17-yefar-old boy who is still in his formative years.

Newcastle United signs a deal with Hatem Ben Arfa till 2015
The on-loan French footballer, Hatem Ben Arfa, has signed a permanent deal with English Premier League club, Newcastle United, from Marseille for an unidentified fee.
Newcastle United kept their faith in injured midfielder and has completed a four-and-a-half-year deal that will keep him at St James' Park until June 2015.
The 23-year-old joined the EPL side on loan in September and made his full debut with a victory against Everton. However, he has fractured his leg in a match against Manchester City in October and since then he has been out of action.
Marseille spent 11 million euros to sign him from Olympique Lyon in 2008.
Newcastle manager, Alan Pardew, said in a club statement, "He's obviously a top player and he's shown that in France, at international level and in his short time here at Newcastle".
However, English club is hopeful that Ben Arfa will make his return from injury as early as possible and prove that he is a superb player.
Ben Arfa is going through a very crucial time. There is no guarantee that he can get back his previous form. However, Arfa is very happy to sign a deal with Newcastle.
Newcastle, who is now in 10th position in the EPL league table with 25 points from 20 games, didn’t disclose his transfer fee.

Carlo Ancelotti will not bid to sign David Beckham
There was rumor that Chelsea will make a bid to sign David Beckham on loan in the January transfer window. However, Chelsea manager, Carlo Ancelotti, strongly denied the possibility saying that his club has no intention to get him in his club.
The former Manchester United and Real Madrid player, has shown his interest to play the English Premier League on a three-month loan from the LA Galaxy during the MLS off-season. He is keen to show England coach, Fabio Capello, that he still has the possibility to be an important part of England squad.
Tottenham Hotspur boss, Harry Redknapp, has already told his interest to get Beckham in his club. To get him in his club, they will have to wait until Beckham concludes his deal.
Looking at the interest of 14 clubs, who expressed interest in singing him, it seems that the thirty-five-year-old player still has many things to give and support the club.
When Carlo Ancelotti was AC Milan coach, he took Beckham on loan. But he said that it would not repeat again. Backing his reason, he said that their aim is different. He said,
"I read Beckham would like to come back for Tottenham. He is a fantastic professional player and could be good support for Tottenham if he comes back."
Ancelotti also believes that he would do a good job for Tottenham despite his age.

Harry Redknapp wants David Beckham at Tottenham Hotspur on a short-term loan
Fans around the world are excitedly waiting to see if David Beckham can play for any of the English Premier League clubs as loan. The prospect of David Beckham’s coming home will depend on his current football club Los Angeles Galaxy’s decision.
The 35-year-old player is set to make his return to the EPL after an eight years absence. After Harry Redknapp confirmed that he wanted to bring the former English player to Tottenham on loan, Beckham’s possibility to return home has become much stronger.
No doubt, Tottenham Hotspur will be happy if they get him on a short-term loan. Previously, Tottenham Hotspur was reported to offer him the attractive position.
Beckham is ready to play his top-level football for two months prior to the start of the Major League Soccer (MLS) season in March.
He completed his two years loan spell with Serie A league leaders AC Milan.
However, it will not be an easy task for Tottenham to get him in the club as they will have to face several English clubs, who are also interested in signing him on loan.
The London club will fulfill their desire to have the former Manchester United player in their club that they could not do it when Beckham was a teenager.
Harry Redknapp thinks that Tottenham manager, Daniel Levy, can persuade Los Angeles Galaxy to lend Beckham to his club. If he can successfully do it then Beckham will be able to play in the EPL.
