Failure is not bad in Weight Loss: Giving Up Is

Despite all my efforts for the last 16 months, I hate to admit that I have failed in my pursuit of weight loss. Well, sixteen months ago, when I started my weight was 110 kilogram and then very quickly lost 10 kg in just two months but after that it has been decreasing and increasing all the way. This is frustrating but today, I am going to tell reason of becoming optimistic despite the fact that I have lost the battle in weight loss.
While it is true that I have lost the battle but there has been some dramatic and positive changes in me.
First of all, I have been able to totally give up on my addiction to two things: coffee and coke. Secondly, I have also been able to decrease the amount of meet consumption and I have to significantly cut back on eating outside food. In other words, there has been significant improvement in my eating habit. I was fond of all kind of junk food items, spicy, oily, what not. Now, I have been able to change that habit and now I try to eat as much as home food as possible.
This chancing eating habit has improved my health to a considerable extent. I forgot I totally lost night sleep and used to stay awake whole night and it became a part of my normal life. This matter has changed me completely and for many days, I could not stay awake whole night even if I wanted.
Now, I am very hopeful in the next one year I am going to decrease my weight and this time, I will get a success in the weight loss story. That is why, I feel that the failure has improved me a lot. Because this failure is not really a failure it is just the first phase of improvement.
Many people try to go for rapid weight loss and then they just get back the lost weight in a very short time. I am not going to gymnasium, I am not even going for any kind of extreme diet but this time, I am going to try weight loss with permanent change in eating habit. That is why, I feel very hopeful because I do not crave for outside food, fast food, Chinese food or even frying food like potato chips. I do not have that strong craving for sweets or mutton. That is why, I want to tell all of you that never give up the hope.
Never despair and always be positive. If you do not try with a happier then you cannot achieve anything. This is a reality that you must not ignore. If you ignore then you will only suffer.

Southampton could Keep Hold on Arsenal Target Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain

Arsenal could lose out on Southampton winger Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. The 17-year-old has been a target of Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger and the two clubs met to discuss the terms of a possible deal. However, they failed to reach an agreement. So, Chamberlain’s move to Emirates in the current transfer window now seems to be uncertain.

The Southampton hotshot has also attracted attention from other Premier League clubs including Manchester United, Liverpool and Fulham. Having realized the market demand, Southampton officials have reportedly put a £10 million tag on Chamberlain who is reportedly eyeing a move to Arsenal. Moreover, it is also believed that Southampton wanted to keep Chamberlain on loan until the end of this season.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is well-known for picking out talented and skilled players and building them into world cup players. Moreover, Wenger always provides enough chances to the young players. So, naturally a player of Chamberlain’s age who is talented would love to join the North London club.

Wenger always maintains a low profile when it comes to big money signing and he never overpays for the players. So, it is pretty much understandable that he would not pay a price around £10 million for a 17-yefar-old boy who is still in his formative years.

Nutrition facts label Still Matter for Weight Loss Efforts

After reaching the border of obesity, I have learnt to become sensitive about calories, sugar and cholesterol contents in any food I buy. It is not that I have been successful in giving up all the junk food items but still, this knowledge about calories, sugar, salt and fat is surely good. The best part is that if one day, I eat some heavy foods then the next day, I try my best to control my appetite.
Well, a new study has questioned this matter: Nutrition facts label does not help curb obesity epidemic
At the end of the day, it is up to you as individual person that how you are going to use the knowledge derived from nutrition facts label. I have stopped eating some junk food items like crisps and French Fries.

Manchester City is top English Premier League club after 4-3 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers

Manchester City has moved at the top of the English Premier League point table after getting a 4-3 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday, 15th January 2011.

Manchester City captain, Carlos Tevez, led his team successfully to overtake their rival Manchester United to go top of the table. He individually scored two goals that made their possibility stronger to win the match tonight. Other two goals were scored by Kolo Toure and Yaya Toure.

For Wolverhampton Wanderers, Milijas, Doyle and Zubar scored one goal each.

Nenad Milijas gave Wolves 1-0 lead after scoring a goal in the 12th minute. But Kolo Toure leveled the score 1-1 scoring a goal in 40 minutes. After that, Carlos Tevez the second goal for his club and Man City finished the first half with 2-1.

Soon after the start of second-half, Man City took the lead 4-1 thanks to Carlos Tevez and Yaya Toure. They both scored one goal each in the second half.

However, Wolves could score two more goals in the last half of the game and the result was 4-3. Doyle made the second goal from penalty and Zubar scored the third goal from header and that goal came four minutes before the end of the match.

However, Manchester City has played three games more than Manchester United. And their position in the top place is not secured. It may not last for long time. If Manchester United gets victory in their next match, then they will regain their position again in the point table.

Manchester City has got 45 points from 23 matches. They are just one point ahead than their rival opponent.

Duncan Fletcher says no team is hot favorite in 2011 World Cup

Less than one month is left to commence the biggest cricket even, ICC World Cup 2011. Cricket experts have already started predicting that which cricket team will win the trophy this year.

Former England coach, Duncan Fletcher, is one of them who talked about the probable teams that can win the title. According to him, there is no hot favorite for the 2011 World Cup Cricket. He also said that it would be an open World Cup.

It is really difficult to predict the winning team’s name as three teams are at their best form at this moment. These three teams are- India, South Africa and England.

Currently, these three teams are playing well in all format of cricket game and other teams are worry about their form.

India is one of the host countries to organize the ICC World Cup 2011. India is always a strong team in their home ground. So, it will be difficult for other teams to beat them in their home soil. But as a host team, they will put them under huge pressure also. No doubt, Indian players will take advantage from the spinning track as they have world class spinners like Harbhajan Singh and their players can play in slow wickets.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s Indian cricket team also showed their good form in South Africa. Despite losing the opening test match by an innings and huge margin, they could bounce back in the competition and level the three-match test series 1-1. It helps them to hold their top spot in the ICC Test team ranking.

England cricket team looks much confidence after defeating Australia on their home ground. They also won the Ashes trophy. Duncan Fletcher also said that England might find it difficult to bat on the spinning condition of the sub-continent because they didn’t play cricket on those types of wickets.

South Africa is another hot favorite team who will be a big threat for other participants in the tournament. Players like Jacques Kallis, AB de Villiers and Hashim Amla are now in their best form. May be, they will face the same kind of problem like England to play in slow wickets.

What about Australia? It is true that Australia is not in their prime form. They are passing a very tough time. But it will not be a good thing to misjudge them. They may do something well.

Fletcher also predicted that the role of spinners would be vital in this upcoming tournament.

Weight Loss Program: Why I am not a fan of The Biggest Loser

The TV program, The Biggest Loser has become very popular in many parts of the world. It has attracted a niche market- overweight people. In this modern age, obesity and overweight is turning into a global problem. I am suffering from overweight and for the last 5 years, I am hanging with obesity. Still, I am not a big fan of The Biggest Loser.
The only reason that I do not like the show is that it encourages quick weight loss. I have been trying very hard to shed some weight in the last 14 months. At first, I tried too fast and even managed to lose 10 KG. However, I realized that losing weight rapidly does indeed more harm than bringing any tangible benefit.
As a result, I have totally stopped watching The Biggest Loser. I have realized that the best way is to keep the fighting spirit. You should try to decrease weight slowly and you must try to bring some changes in your life style. If needed, try to take off from work for a few months. Of course, not everyone can afford to do so. If I could then I really would take off from any kind of work for one year and would just focus on weight loss efforts.

Arsene Wenger is Right: UEFA Says

Many Arsenal supporters are unhappy with the fact that their club has failed to win anything in the last five years. While, I give them total right to be upset and feel disappointed. I always have thought that it is the right strategy in the long term. Now, UEFA has said the same thing and stated that all the clubs in Europe should follow the strategy of Arsenal about not spending too much money.
In England a bad trend is emerging which was started by Chelsea 8-9 years ago. Manchester City is spending a lot of money and following the model of Chelsea. Liverpool is also a bad financial condition. Even Manchester United is not in a healthy economic condition. Only Arsenal in England is financially sound and well off.
A lot of credit goes to Arsene Wenger who is perhaps revolutionizing the football industry in not only in England but in Europe. Many clubs in Europe follow unrealistic impractical style of spending money. What they do is that they spend millions of dollars to buy new players and give them very high level of salary but then they fall into financial stress despite winning trophies. On the other hand, under Arsene Wenger’s leadership, Arsenal has always focused on improving their financial condition.
Arsene Wenger has already emerged as the most successful coach in history of Arsenal football club. However, I think that his name in future will be stated mention more for making the club a profitable one.

Determination and Continuous Effort key to ensure Weight Loss

Even just 18 months ago, I was a person who used to drink too much coffee and soft drinks like Coca Cola. I used to joke that the secret of my energy is consuming these two things too much. Then, just 18 months ago, I discovered that it was not a very good joke but it almost destroyed my health. Then, fourteen months ago, I totally gave up these two things. Things started to become at first very bad and I lost energy for almost one year.
At first, it was some easier for me to give up coffee because there was a much milder alternative in tea. On the other hand, it was very difficult and almost impossible to stop drinking Coke or Pepsi. Fortunately, just few months ago, I became successful and I realized that I can leave and do some work without drinking either coffee or coke.
Now, I am fully free from both of them and at last my normal strength is coming back. In fact, this problem started nearly six years ago when I started working very hard to earn some money.
I have learnt now that it needs continuous effort if you want to change your life style. To be honest with you, I could not imagine that I would really be able to give up coke totally because I was too much addicted.
In the last few days, my health suffered a lot of stress because I could not sleep because of taking care of my wife. However, I didn’t drink any coke for getting energy. Yes, I consumed some coffee but it was nothing compared to the past. From today, I am free from the stress and again I have stopped drinking coffee and I am going for tea. I have learnt that if you are really determined then you can change habit in your life style. The result may not come soon but in the long run, you will achieve this success.
Today, I was a bit frustrated because I have again gained some weight and I am again on the border of obesity. So, I have to try to decrease some weight but I am not unhappy or I have not lost hope because I know that just like drinking tea or coffee, I need to work on my other habits like eating habit and only then sooner or later I will get success I want.

Should Arsenal sign Thierry Henry on Loan?

Arsenal Chairman Peter Hill-Wood has categorically denied any chance of signing Thierry Henry on a loan deal. There were some rumors about it in the last few days. Some fans would surely like to see the player back and I personally think that if Henry is affordable then why not? After all, the young players can learn a lot from him.
There is no doubt that Arsenal has no shortage of talent but the team clearly lacks some experience. Henry has many years of experience behind him and that is why I think that Arsenal should sign him on loan deal.
On the other hand, I do not know about the money that Henry or his current MLS club is seeking from any potential club in Europe for the loan deal.
I think that in the end, when Henry retires from football within 2-3 years, he will perhaps look back and think that he should not have left Arsenal and joined Barcelona. If he stayed at Arsenal until now, he would have made and broken many records for the club. I wonder what he has got by joining Barcelona.

Obesity is very expensive for US Economy

Obesity is becoming a serious problem for the US economy. It is emerging a bad thing just like fire accident and is costing the country something like $270 billion annually. So, it is very important to fight against this problem.
I cannot understand the reason behind inactivity of US government about this issue. I guess that the political parties do not want to offend the fast food industry as the industry brings a lot of jobs and taxes. So, it is becoming an irony for the country. On the one hand, obesity is causing serious economic loss. While the politicians are afraid to fight against this loss because then, it may cause further problem to the economy.
I think that the ordinary people have to come forward to fight against this problem because at the end of the day, it is they who are suffering most not the politicians or the fast food industry.

Newcastle United signs a deal with Hatem Ben Arfa till 2015

The on-loan French footballer, Hatem Ben Arfa, has signed a permanent deal with English Premier League club, Newcastle United, from Marseille for an unidentified fee.

Newcastle United kept their faith in injured midfielder and has completed a four-and-a-half-year deal that will keep him at St James' Park until June 2015.

The 23-year-old joined the EPL side on loan in September and made his full debut with a victory against Everton. However, he has fractured his leg in a match against Manchester City in October and since then he has been out of action.

Marseille spent 11 million euros to sign him from Olympique Lyon in 2008.

Newcastle manager, Alan Pardew, said in a club statement, "He's obviously a top player and he's shown that in France, at international level and in his short time here at Newcastle".

However, English club is hopeful that Ben Arfa will make his return from injury as early as possible and prove that he is a superb player.

Ben Arfa is going through a very crucial time. There is no guarantee that he can get back his previous form. However, Arfa is very happy to sign a deal with Newcastle.

Newcastle, who is now in 10th position in the EPL league table with 25 points from 20 games, didn’t disclose his transfer fee.

Carlo Ancelotti will not bid to sign David Beckham

There was rumor that Chelsea will make a bid to sign David Beckham on loan in the January transfer window. However, Chelsea manager, Carlo Ancelotti, strongly denied the possibility saying that his club has no intention to get him in his club.

The former Manchester United and Real Madrid player, has shown his interest to play the English Premier League on a three-month loan from the LA Galaxy during the MLS off-season. He is keen to show England coach, Fabio Capello, that he still has the possibility to be an important part of England squad.

Tottenham Hotspur boss, Harry Redknapp, has already told his interest to get Beckham in his club. To get him in his club, they will have to wait until Beckham concludes his deal.

Looking at the interest of 14 clubs, who expressed interest in singing him, it seems that the thirty-five-year-old player still has many things to give and support the club.

When Carlo Ancelotti was AC Milan coach, he took Beckham on loan. But he said that it would not repeat again. Backing his reason, he said that their aim is different. He said,

"I read Beckham would like to come back for Tottenham. He is a fantastic professional player and could be good support for Tottenham if he comes back."

Ancelotti also believes that he would do a good job for Tottenham despite his age.

Harry Redknapp wants David Beckham at Tottenham Hotspur on a short-term loan

Fans around the world are excitedly waiting to see if David Beckham can play for any of the English Premier League clubs as loan. The prospect of David Beckham’s coming home will depend on his current football club Los Angeles Galaxy’s decision.

The 35-year-old player is set to make his return to the EPL after an eight years absence. After Harry Redknapp confirmed that he wanted to bring the former English player to Tottenham on loan, Beckham’s possibility to return home has become much stronger.

No doubt, Tottenham Hotspur will be happy if they get him on a short-term loan. Previously, Tottenham Hotspur was reported to offer him the attractive position.

Beckham is ready to play his top-level football for two months prior to the start of the Major League Soccer (MLS) season in March.

He completed his two years loan spell with Serie A league leaders AC Milan.

However, it will not be an easy task for Tottenham to get him in the club as they will have to face several English clubs, who are also interested in signing him on loan.

The London club will fulfill their desire to have the former Manchester United player in their club that they could not do it when Beckham was a teenager.

Harry Redknapp thinks that Tottenham manager, Daniel Levy, can persuade Los Angeles Galaxy to lend Beckham to his club. If he can successfully do it then Beckham will be able to play in the EPL.
