Manchester United: Winner of 2007 Community Shield 2007

It was a very enjoyable match but in the end Chelsea footballers forgot how to take penalties and Manchester United won the match very easily in the penalty shootout. Of course, Manchester United deserved to win the match and they were the better side in the match. On the other hand, Chelsea players did not play so well and they lost the match.

In the first half, Manchester United had clear dominance over Chelsea. Ryan Gigs and Rooney kept Chelsea defense totally busy. Chelsea threatened only one or two times in the first half. Manchester United players missed some easy chances.

On the second half, the match was evenly poised. Ryan Gigs scored a superb ball from cross pass. Chelsea equalized with an even better goal from Malouda.

After the normal time finished, we had penalty shootout. Chelsea players missed all 3 penalties while Man United players scored their 3 penalties. I cannot remember of any football match in which one team missed all their penalties while the other team scored all of their penalties.

If Manchester United can keep its form then it will be very difficult for any team to take away the crown of EPL 2007-08. On the other hand, Chelsea must work on their injured players. A number of good players were absent for them.

http://techblogbiz.blogspot.com/2007/08/chelsea-vs-manchester-united-live.html

FA Community Shield is the opening tournament in English Football calendar. FA Community Shield will take place on 5 August 2007 at the famous Wembley stadium. This time, Manchester United is going to play against Chelsea. You already know that Manchester United was the champion of English Premier League in 2006-07 season while Chelsea won the FA Cup trophy. The match is going to create a lot of enthusiasm among the fans of these two clubs. These fans are now just limited to England but they are spread across the globe. The fans would love to see their own respective club becomes supreme. FA Community Shield is like the super come in some countries and this trophy will be in indication of club supremacy in English football. This match is coming ahead of just one week of the start of EPL 2007-08.

Chelsea: Injury Worry and Others

This will be the third consecutive appearance for Chelsea in FA Community Shield. Last year, Chelsea lost Liverpool. However, Chelsea won the trophy of FA Community Shield 2005 by defeating Arsenal by 2-1. Chelsea is in great touch for the last few years in English football. Sometimes, money can buy success and Chelsea is perhaps the best proof of this matter. This time, Chelsea boss wants to win the match but his club is facing a lot of injuries. Because of injury problem, he will not have some of his best player to play for Chelsea in Community Shield 2007. There was even rumor of Frank Lampard suffering from injury. Fortunately, he is ok and he will play in the match.

There is another worry for Chelsea and that is their recent performance. In the last few days, Chelsea could not perform that well in some of the pre season practice matches. You know that Chelsea went to USA. Their USA trip created a lot of media buzz but their performance was not so high in the US. Even in Europe, Chelsea did not attract the imagination of the fans that much recently.

The Cole Factor?

Ashley Cole is undoubtedly one of the top defenders in Premier League at the moment. However, he has been suffering from injury for sometime. Cole wants to make Community Shield 2007 final as a comeback match and he is hungry for some good football action. If he plays then he can be a formidable opposition to Manchester United on this Sunday. I just hope that Frank Lampard can really play in this match. His presence will be vital just as Cole.

Manchester United: lack of Form

On the other hand, Manchester United not free from injury worry either. They will miss a number of good players too but not so much like Chelsea. So, they will have a slight edge over Chelsea in this matter. Alex Ferguson will not have Gary Neville, Louis Saha and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for the match. These three players are suffering from injuries.

However, when it comes to recent performance, Manchester United does not have much better track record than Chelsea. For example, Manchester United just suffered an embarrassing defeat against Internazionale in a 3-2 at home. So, the players are not in very confident mood. However, Alex Ferguson feels that his team has enough talents to bounce back and defeat Chelsea.

The main worry for Manchester United will be their defense. The defenders look a bit shaky at this moment. They have less worry with their midfield and strikers. On the other hand, Ashley Cole is expected to play in this match for Chelsea and this should give Chelsea a lot of boost. On the other hand, injury worry will surely make Chelsea suffer a bit in the midfield.

Ronaldo magic?

No, I am not talking about Brazilian Ronaldo. I am talking of Cristiano Ronaldo. He was the best player in Premier League last season and he had significant contribution behind Manchester United becoming champion. This season, he is hungry for success and he wants to impress everyone in the Community Shield Final 2007.

Until now, the clubs have not taken FA Community Shield Trophy very seriously. However, I guess that from this year, this matter is going to change. Both the coaches are serious about this match and they want to win it. This match will become attractive because it will be watched by millions of fans around the world.

Who will win? Chelsea or Manchester United?

Manchester United vs Chelsea: Who Will Win?

The season of 2007-2008 of English Football is going to start in 5 August with FA Community Shield Final match between Manchester United and Chelsea. This match is now very important for the fans of these two clubs. In this season, both Manchester United and Chelsea have spent a lot of money for getting good players and they are eager to dominate English football.

I am sure that the bosses of these two clubs are also thinking of having good success in EUFA Champions League too. So, neither of the two clubs will take the match of Community Shield lightly. They will want to start the season in style and make an immediate impact in the field.

The only thing to worry is injury. Both the clubs will have to play the game without some of their key players. I did not understand the cause of injury. The last has season finished 3 months ago and it was the break.

Anyway, who do you think will win the match- Chelsea or Manchester United?

Community Shield 2007 without Michael Ballack

You already know that Chelsea is facing some serious injury problems in the teams. Some of their star players are now struggling for injury. Chelsea is going to play against Manchester United in the coming Community Shield 2007 match. Michael Ballack, Captain of Germany, has also fallen in injury. Ballack has already been out of the final line up of Chelsea before the match against Manchester United.

Michael Ballack joined Chelsea in 2006 from Bayern Munich where he spent four seasons in German League. Since his joining, Michael Ballack could hardly impress the Chelsea fans with his performance in the first season in English Premier League. There is also speculation that new coach of Real Madrid Bernd Schuster is interesting to get Ballack in his side. However, neither Ballack of Real authority confirmed it yet.

I think Michael Ballack could play an important role in the coming Community Shield 2007 match. Anyway, Chelsea has to look for his replacement in the match. Now, the question is who will better serve in place of Michael Ballack.

Ashley Cole Wants to Impress in Community Shield 2007

Chelsea left back Ashley Cole now seems that he got back his fitness as in the last two pre-season friendly matches he was in the final squad. However, Ashley Cole could not impress with his performance yet in Chelsea. Since his transfer from Arsenal in 2006, Cole was hardly seen in his good form. Ahead of the Community Shield 2007 match against Manchester United, all the Chelsea fans want to see Cole in his top form. In Premier League 2006-2007, Chelsea finished behind the champion Manchester United. However, Chelsea could lift the FA Cup 2006-2007 tournament defeating Manchester United in the final.

Mirror reported:
"Last season I wasn't playing to my full potential compared to how I know I can play," said Cole. "I had a lot of criticism, but the people who said those things didn't know what kind of injury I had.
"But that's over now and hopefully this season I can improve myself to being one of the best again. I feel much more free and my aim is to play how I know I can.
"I'm looking forward to the season and hopefully I can get a bit of time on the pitch now.

Ashley Cole is one of the most reliable defenders of England national team. Cole played 58 matches for England. Cole played in Arsenal for six years before joining to Chelsea. Now, let’s see if Ashley Cole can come back with his top form in the coming Community Shield 2007 match against Manchester United.

Community Shield 2007 without John Terry

FA Community Shield 2007 match between Manchester United and Chelsea F.C. are coming closer. The match will be held on 5 August 2007. Now, ahead of this important match, Chelsea is facing injury problems in the team. Already 12 Chelsea players have fallen in to injury. Some of the stars including Michael Ballack have already been out of the final line up. Captain John Terry and defender Ashley Cole are in doubt for the Community Shield match against Manchester United. Yesterday, Chelsea projected a 2-0 victory over Brondby in a pre-season friendly match. Didier Drogba scored twice in the match and he seemed in his good form. Didier Drogba was the leading goal scorer in the last season’s English Premier League.

Thisislondon reported:
The Chelsea skipper, who broke his toe against Suwon Bluewings during the club's pre-season tour of America, is one of 12 players struggling with injury ahead of the game at Wembley.
Chelsea lifted the gloom with a comfortable 2-0 victory over the Danish side, but there are also doubts about the fitness of £31m striker Andriy Shevchenko after he was forced out of last night's friendly with a back injury.
Didier Drogba, Chelsea's leading scorer last season, scored twice in the second half to secure victory, but Jose Mourinho's side are struggling to find their rhythm as they approach the new season.

Manchester United vs Chelsea F.C. match will be held in Wembley stadium. Though Chelsea is facing some injury problems, their opponent Manchester United has not any serious injury problems. However, the good news for Chelsea is that Didier Drogba seems in his good form and he could hold his last year’s form yet. I think, injury problem will be crucial for Chelsea in the Community Shield match against Manchester United.

Community Shield 2007 and Eating at Alisan Restaurant

You know that English Premier League is now the richest league in the world. There is so much money to make and so much money to spend that everyone wants to have a pie of that. Alisan Restaurant wants the same too. Of course, they are not going to offer you to play football there. The restaurant is located just opposite of Wembley Stadium. Now, it is offering a special package just for the FA Community Shield 2007.

I am quoting from a press release:

Alisan restaurant, located directly opposite the main entrance of Wembley Stadium, is offering special Community Shield package on Sunday 5th August.

The modern Cantonese flagship restaurant will be serving a set 4-course gourmet lunch including a glass of Champagne, half a bottle of wine, liqueur and coffee plus a match programme for £125+VAT per person. The package also includes a post match buffet.

£125 is a lot of money for many people but many people can afford it too. So, if you are going to watch the match and if you can afford to pay £125 then you can give Alisan Restaurant a try.

Ashley Cole in Community Shield 2007

Ashley Cole is one of the best left backs in England today. He played in Arsenal for a long time and then joined Chelsea. Ashley Cole has been suffering from injury for sometime and he is eager to make a strong come back in English football very soon. Ashley Cole feels that Community Shield match against Manchester United will be a good time to make the come back.

FA Community Shield is a good place to be because there will not be so much pressure like a match in Premier League or Champions League. Of course, many fans will love to see him in action. Now, let us see if Ashley Cole can play in Community Shield 2007 or not.

Arjen Robben in Community Shield 2007

Arjen Robben is a Dutch player and he plays in Chelsea. Well, he is a talented player but you know that Chelsea team is full of skilled and world class players. So, it is not surprising that Arjen Robben could not make too many appearances for Chelsea. However, it does not mean that he is not a good player. He is a great footballer and Real Madrid is interested about Arjen Robben. They are ready to pay a huge amount of money and they are even eager to have good relationship with Arjen Robben’s father and agent.

Arjen Robben is suffering from injury at this moment and I am not sure if he will play in Community Shield 2007. I also don’t like the idea of his going to Real Madrid. Chelsea is the team of the moment and he should stay here and Chelsea coach Jose Mourinho does not want to sell Arjen Robben. This shows that Mourinho has a lot of confidence on this player.

FA Community Shield 2007: Wayne Rooney Looks for More Success with Manchester United

FA Community Shield 2007 match between Manchester United and Chelsea F.C. are coming nearer. The match will be held on 5 August 2007. Both the teams are now busy with taking preparation for the match. Ahead of the FA Community Shield 2007 match, Manchester United star Wayne Rooney is hopeful to lift another trophy. Rooney has recently said that he would seek more goals and more trophies in Manchester United. This 21 year old English talent has already served England national team in international matches. Saying that he improves after every match and would like to continue such improvement, Rooney pointed out that the current Manchester United squad is the best since his joining in Manchester United in 2004.

MSN.Foxsports reported:
"I would take any trophy," he said.
"Obviously, we want to do well and win the title again. But the Champions League is such a massive tournament, I would like to win that too.
"I don't feel there is any extra pressure on us because of what happened last season. You are always expected to perform at Manchester United.
"We are excited by the new signings - and I am sure, when the time comes, we will be ready to go."
