Micah Richards says Carlos Tevez will stay at Manchester City until the end of the season

Argentine football star, Carlos Tevez, has been getting much media publicity for his determination to leave the club because of his relationship with ‘certain executives’ at the club has deteriorated beyond repair. Even, he has handed in a transfer request that put the Manchester City club under immense pressure.

Perhaps, Manchester City defender, Micah Richards, could little bit change Tevez’s mind. According to Richards, Tevez will stay at the club until the end of the season at least.

Man City manager, Robert Mancini, is optimistic about Carlos Tevez’s remaining at the club. He hopes that he can persuade him to stay and lead the City into the Champions League and glory in the Europa League. Richards has also similar feeling in his mind. He thinks that they can keep Carlos until the end of the season at least.

Richards also said, "Carlos has been just the same. He's got his opinions and stuff. He's a bubbly character, always laughing and joking in training.

"I don't think it's anything to do with Man City to be honest. He's said previously that he's tired and stuff like that. He made his debut when he was 15 or 16 and I think he's missing his family back home."

Tevez is the top scorer of his club with 10 goals beside his name in the campaign. So, his absence will put the club under immense pressure.

Manchester City is now in good form. They are continuously performing well. The club was placed among the top four in Europe and that is why, they have become able to take part in the Champions League.

He didn’t take part in the match because of his suspension. However, he is supposed to make his comeback against Everton on Monday. He was rested on Thursday when City secured top spot in Europa League Group A with a 1-1 draw against Juventus in Turin.

It has been less than 17 months into a five-year contract that he has been playing for Man City, but the former Boca Juniors, Corinthians and West Ham forward asked to leave. Is it the only reason that his club has failed to make its place in the Champions League?

Signing some of the star players in Summer 2009 transfer window, City is now considered to be a huge contender for English football and a champions league place is their ultimate target. There are many who believe that among the ‘big four’ clubs of premier league, Arsenal seems vulnerable to lose their champions league berth if City can finish the season in the top four. These predictions and assumptions have definitely increased the significance of the match.

However, the Eastlanders have already suffered a setback as they are going to miss the service of experienced Argentina forward Carlos Tevez who picked up a knee injury while representing Argentina in their important world cup qualifier against Brazil on Saturday.

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson confirmed that he would bring Carlos Tevez in the first eleven in their Carling up match-up against Derby Country tonight on the road. The Argentine striker has so far been regularly playing in Carling Cup matches for Manchester United, even though the 24-year-old is still struggling to find a regular place in the first eleven for the premier league and Champions League match, competing with the strikers like Wayne Rooney, Dimitar Berbataov and winger Cristiano Ronaldo.

Caralos Tevez has recently threatened that he would leave the club, if he is not handed a permanent contract as his current two-year loan deal expire at the end of this seasons. Manchester United has to pay a £22 million if they want to get the service of Tevez for a longer period. No doubt, Manchester United has not decided yet if they would spend such a big amount for a reserve striker. Well, there is no doubt, Manchester United has a number of quality strikers in the squad and they had enough success last year, but they should not forget that it was Tevez who saved Manchester United with his late strikes, coming on as second-half substitute for a number of times last year. However, I personally think that Tevez should leave Old Trafford looking for more first team football. He is still 24 and has a lot of football left in him. Moreover, he can bring quality, talent and experience with him at any clubs at this stage of his career. Now, let us see what is out there in Carlos Tevez’s fate.

Manchester United’s Argentine striker Carlos Tevez’s future at Old Trafford is still uncertain as the club is not yet ready to pay the amount required to sign the player on a permanent deal. Carlos Tevez’s future at Manchester United seems to be uncertain at this moment as the Red Devils have not handed him a permanent contract. Tevez’s loan deal with Manchester United will expire at the end of this season, but United has not given any indication of a permanent deal yet.
