Sprint ID Now Available for Samsung Epic 4G and Galaxy Tab

Sprint ID is now available for Samsung Epic 4G smartphone and Samsung Galaxy Tab. Today, the carrier announced this software update which also includes Android 2.2 Froyo operating system for Epic 4G.

Sprint ID is an application made by Sprint to facilitate users to download a package named an “ID Pack” which includes various apps, widgets, wallpapers, ringtones and other things which can meet the specific needs or interests of the users.

The current users of Samsung Epic 4G and Samsung Galaxy Tab would be notified over-the-air through their devices about the software update. Then they can install the software from the notification tab, and once installed, they can start using Sprint ID from the Applications Menu on their devices.

For those who are going to buy Epic 4G or Galaxy Tab will find Sprint ID pre-installed on the two devices.

The Android 2.2 Froyo update would enable the Epic 4G users to enjoy various new features including Adobe Flash 10.1, Bluetooth support and the facility of installing apps to external storage.

In October 2010, Sprint ID was launched on three devices: LG Optimus S, Sanyo Zio and Samsung Transform. However, that launch was not successful due to bug problems.

Sprint Nextel partners with Google Voice: Release Nexus S 4G

On March 21, 2011, Google Voice and Sprint Nextel announced their partnership. Under this partnership, Google Voice will be integrated into Sprint handsets.

From now on, Sprint customers will be able to use their current Sprint number as their Google Voice number and vice versa. Google Voice will also supplant Sprint’s voicemail service. From now on, customers will be able to receive “transcribed voicemail messages via email or text.”

Today, Sprint also unveiled its new 4G based smartphone Nexus S 4G. The handset is equipped with 1GHz Hummingbird processor. It has 512MB RAM, 16GB internal storage, NFC, front-facing VGA camera and 5 mp rear mounted camera. The phone will run on Android 2.3 Gingerbread. The phone will be priced at $199 with a two-year contract.

National Football League (NFL) in Sprint Mobile Phone

Sprint is one of the leading wireless telecommunications networks in USA and it has active participation in sports related things. So, I’m happy to see that thanks to spin mobile phones, American football fans will be able to see NFL matches live. Cleveland Browns vs Denver Broncos is going to be the first match to be broadcast in mobile phone live.

Here you have to know one thing that national football league is not the same thing as soccer. It is an American style football and the football news that we cover in this blog regularly is known as soccer in America and Australia.

I think that it will expand the market of NFL. NFL is very popular in USA and it has fans in every corner of the country. Even, On the previous day of the election 2008, that to president candidates took part in Monday night football program to reach out to the maximum number of voters. So, it is needless to state that it will increase the revenue potential of NFL. It is also a good move from a Sprint. The company is fighting hard against AT&T and Verizon Wireless.
