Olga Zarubina: Miss Tourism Queen International 2007

I have to say that I have never heard the name of Olga Zarubina. In Google search, I found nothing. I also found nothing about Olga Zarubina in Google News search. She has become the winner of Miss Tourism Queen International 2007 just a hour or two earlier in China. I visited the official website of Miss Tourism Queen International and found no official announcement about it yet. However, I found this news in Global Beauties website and this is a reliable website on beauties and beauty pageants.

Good thing is that by the time, I was writing this entry, I found the official announcement about winner of Miss Tourism Queen International 2007 in its official website.

In the official website of Miss Tourism Queen International, I could find that Olga Zarubina is 24 years old and her height is 1.78 meter. So, you can imagine that she is very tall. Well, I don’t think that she is beautiful but my opinion does not matter. The funniest thing is that there is absolutely no information about Olga Zarubina except that she is a model. I wonder what kind of model she is!

Miss Tourism Queen International 2007

When we think about beauty contest, the first thing that comes to our mind is Miss World, Miss Universe but there are many other major beauty competitions. Miss Tourism Queen International is not as popular as Miss World or Miss Universe but this has been a major beauty contest. The main aim of this beauty contest is to flourish the tourism industry around the world. Observed since 1949, the Miss Tourism Queen International 2007 has started from 11^th July at Zheng Zhou in China. The competition will continue till 2^nd August. This year, 110 contestants from different countries have taken part into the competition.

This year, there has been no contestant from UK but in the past four years two Asians and one European won the title. The winner of the competition will receive £7,500 and many other merchandise. In 2004, Zabina Abdul Rashid Khan from India and in 2005 Nikoletta Ralli of Greece won the title.

Trieu Trang Thu Trang represents Vietnam in in Miss Tourism Queen Intenational 2007

Twenty one year old model Trieu Trang Thu Trang from Vietnam has been chosen to represent Miss International Tourism 2007 started in China from July 11, 2007. Before coming to the contest Trieu Trang Thu Trang has won Miss Internet Popularity contest 2007. Thanhniennews.com reports:

The internet popularity contest is part of the ongoing Miss International Tourism Queen Pageant in China.

Trang is leading the online poll with 2,100 votes. In second and third place are contestants from Thailand and the Republic of Korea with 1,400 and 1,300 votes respectively.

Twenty-one-year-old model Trang was chosen to compete after she came in second place in northern Vietnam’s Tuyen Quang Beauty Pageant last year.

Beauty contest today has been condemned by many to have degraded the image woman around the world by objectifying them but it has also created major business opportunities around the world. Countries who take part in these contests have created their own beauty industry which created job opportunities for many people. In the same way, countries who host these competitions get a major opportunity to represent itself to the world. Many people come from abroad to enjoy the beauty contest. It is definitely a great way to develop the tourism industry.
