Following an excellent season, Manchester United was very keen to hand Wayne Rooney a new deal, but the English forward asked the club to wait for contract negotiations until the world cup finishes.
Well, reports out in the media suggest that Manchester United would offer Rooney an increase in his weekly salary to around £150,000 from £90,000 which he is currently getting. He still has 2 years left in his existing contract and it seems that United would like to increase the deal in its bid to secure his service for a long time.
