Wayne Rooney to Negotiate for New Manchester Deal after World Cup 2010

Following an excellent season, Manchester United was very keen to hand Wayne Rooney a new deal, but the English forward asked the club to wait for contract negotiations until the world cup finishes. England’s world cup training camp will start in a week’s time and Rooney does not want his world cup preparation gets distracted by anything else.

Well, reports out in the media suggest that Manchester United would offer Rooney an increase in his weekly salary to around £150,000 from £90,000 which he is currently getting. He still has 2 years left in his existing contract and it seems that United would like to increase the deal in its bid to secure his service for a long time.

Wayne Rooney scored 34 goals for Manchester United in all competitions this season. Naturally, the club is keen to give him a reward and ensure his stay at the club. At 25, he has achieved lots of club success with Manchester United. Now, English football fans are waiting to see him continuing his club form in the upcoming world cup football 2010 in South Africa.
