Manchester United is looking for a new shirt sponsor as their current deal with American International Group Inc. is running out at the end of 2009-2010 season. The English club currently has a sponsorship deal with AIG worth 19 million- pound ($26.6 million). Current English and European champions are now looking for an improved deal, luring the worldwide companies by showing their recent performance, the number of stars currently available at the club and their large fan base around the world.
AIG is unlikely to extend their sponsorship deal with Manchester United. That is why, the club has recently sent an open invitation for a shirt sponsorship deal to a number of widely recognized companies across the world, and it is expected that Manchester United is looking to increase the price of the deal.
