Here, I like to say a few words about IPL. This is perhaps the first time that I saw that cricket matches are held in May in India. May is the hottest month in many places in India. So, it will be a tough weather for the players. Of course, it will be tough for the fans too. The good news is that many matches will start after sunset and that time there is no sun light and the weather is tolerable. If I am not wrong then I guess that some matches will take place in day time and it will be very hot in noon. So, I really wish that from next year all IPL matches be held at night.

I felt a bit disappointed to see lack of promotional activities in Indian TV channels about IPL. For example, Set Max is the official TV channel and it will broadcast all the IPL matches. Today, I watched Set Max for time and they had only entertainment programs. There was nothing about IPL except the IPL image stating that there were 2 days left before IPL. Well, I guess that the main problem is that Set Max is an entertainment TV channel, not a sports channel. So, Set Max will only think of IPL when IPL starts from this Friday. Star Sports and ESPN are the most popular sports channels in India. Since they do not have the rights of IPL therefore they are not that much concerned about IPL. BCCI should try to convince them to give promotion of IPL.

BCCI officials should keep it mind that many people have invested a lot for IPL. They expect that their investment brings them healthy profit.
