Sven-Goran Eriksson Reveals The Secret of Defeating Manchester United

Former Engalnd coach Sven-Goran Eriksson revealed the secret of defeating Manchester United. The seemingly invincible Manchester United suffered the second defeat to Manchester City this season. Earlier, Manchester United lost to Manchester City in the first half of the season at the City home ground. However, the recent defeat came at the home ground of Manchester United, Old Trafford. It was the first home defeat of Manchester United to their city rivals in 34 years. City manager Eriksson, being asked what was the secret of defeating Manchester United, said that stopping Cristiano Ronaldo from playing football. No doubt, Eriksson has been succeeded with this trick.

Goal.com reported:

Asked what the secret to beating United was, the Swede said it's simple: stop Cristiano Ronaldo from playing. "There’s no trick to beating United," he explained. "You just have to work hard.

"You know when you meet teams like this you have to have legs, track them down and not let them play football. If you let players like Cesc Fabregas at Arsenal and Ronaldo have the ball . . . they are too good.

Ronaldo has been in imperious form so far this season with hitting 27 goals including 19 league goals with a hat trick. However, Ronaldo was not effective against Manchester City during their 1-2 home defeat last weekend. So, the others teams might follow the similar trick against Manchester United.
