Manchester United vs Manchester City EPL: Benjani Mwaruwari Awaiting for Debut on Manchester Derby

Manchester City is going to travel at Manchester United in the second leg Derby of the premier league season. City’s newly recruit striker Benjani Mwaruwari is expected to play his first match for Manchester City in the mouth-watering derby match on Sunday at Old Trafford. The match is now the center of all attention among the fans of both sides.

Benjani has had an impressive season at Portsmouth with scoring 12 goals so far this season. City manager Sven Goran Eriksson has revealed his hope to play him in the high profile derby match as the Zimbabwean striker, to him, will fit in very well. He has also indicated that club officials included Benjani without any hesitation considering his performance.

"I think he will fit in very well, he's played by himself for Portsmouth many times, and I hope he can play on Sunday," Eriksson told City’s official website. “He's scored 12 goals in the league so far this season which is a good record.

"When we had the opportunity to take him, I did not hesitate at all, my reaction was 'yes, let's take him'. He's 29, he has a lot of experience, he's very strong and is a proven goalscorer. We need that, that's for sure."

Manchester City emerged winner in the first derby of the season at their home soil. Now, they are going to play at Manchester United and they must face strong challenge from Manchester United as Ferguson boys will seek revenge this time. Now, let us see if Benjani Mwaruwari can hold on his impressive form for Manchester City and make enough impression in the Derby match.
