I really cannot remember any El Clasico match of recent years to be so important like the next one to be played on this Saturday at Estadio Santiago Bernabeu, Madrid. From the title of this entry you already know who are playing. In fact, the world El Clasico is enough to remind you about the importance of the match. After 33 matches, Barcelona is leading the point table with 82 points while Real Madrid is just 4 points behind at 78 points from the same number (33) of matches. After Saturday’s match, there will be just another 4 to play. So, you can easily understand the excitement and tension related to this match.

The players of both the teams are excited and they are perhaps engaged in to war of words. The players of Madrid are confident that they have got the enemy at their own territory and they would demolish Barcelona in front of the Real supporters. On the other hand, some Barcelona players are trying to show that they are not worried about the El Clasico. Rather their focus is now on UEFA Champions League.

For his country, Lionel Messi is becoming a legend and many people think that he has the same potential like Diego Maradona. He plays for Barcelona team and he’s also one of their top strikers at this moment. Now, in the next few days Barcelona is going to play two important matches against Real Madrid and Chelsea. Both of the matches are very important to the club but he things that the match against Chelsea is much more important because if Barcelona loses it then they are out of Europe. I agree with him in this regard because even if they lose against real Madrid there’ll be another opportunity in Spain. So, I agree with him that Europe should be the more important factor at this moment and more attention should be given to Champions league semifinal match. However, you already know that Barcelona is leading Real Madrid by just 4 points and if the lose then the lead will be cut down to just one point.

Let me just remind you that in the corresponding fixture, earlier this season, Barcelona entertained Real Madrid and Barcelona won the match by 2-0. However, last year, when Real Madrid entertained Barcelona then Real defeated the Catalan side by 4-1 and won the La Liga title.

Barcelona defender Rafael Marquez is out for the season after damaging a knee in the 0-0 home draw with Chelsea on Tuesday, and Real defender Pepe has been banned for 10 matches following his sending off against Getafe on April 21.

Back in December, when Barcelona faced Real at home, that time the visiting Real players found it to be very difficult to contain Lionel Messi. Real Madrid vs Barcelona La Liga 08-09: Who Will Win?

This is the question now in the mind of millions of fans of these two clubs every where. In fact, whenever we give live score to any match involving Real Madrid or Barcelona we notice that many people come from USA and Mexico to enjoy the updates. So, don’t think that only Spanish people will wait for the outcome of this match. In some Asian countries like China, you can be assured that more people will watch the game in TV than in Spain. Thus, a clash of Real Madrid and Barcelona has become something like a mini World Cup final match.

This time, in the league table, Barcelona is in good form. Also in Europe, the Catalan giant is in top form. Real Madrid suffered a humiliating exit from Champions League while Barcelona is playing in the semifinal. In the point table, Barcelona has a commanding lead. In the corresponding fixture, Barcelona dominated and won the match that took place in the home stadium of Barcelona. Now, the match is going to take place in Madrid. So, they will have home advantage. On the other hand, Barcelona coach will want his players to demolish Real Madrid because next Wednesday, they are going to travel to London to face Chelsea in the second leg of Champions League. In fact, the next one week can be decisive for the Catalan giant both in home and Europe. They have excellent season so far. If they just lose both of these two matches then they will be out of Euoropean glory and even their title hope in La Liga can suffer a mental setback.

I have not answered to the original question of who will win in the match. I think that it will be a draw.

Real Madrid vs Barcelona Live in Star Sports TV Channel: 2 May 2009

The stage is set for tomorrow’s match between Real Madrid and Barcelona at Estadio Santiago Bernabeu. At this moment, the club of Raul is considered to be favorite against Messi and his men. If Real Madrid can win the match then they will come just one point behind their arch rival. So, this is a must win for them in front of their home crowd. On the other hand, the next 5-6 days can really change the season for the Catalan giants. They can be on course for winning double trophy of La Liga or Champions League or they can be out of Champions League and can also be on course of losing the title of La LIga. So, naturally, I do not need to tell you that all the pressure is on Barcelona players.

I really wish that we all could go to Spain and enjoy the match live. Well, it is impossible for millions of fans like me. So, the only thing we can do is to enjoy live telecast of the match in different TV Channels. For people living in India and other south Asian countries, Star Sports is the TV channel that will provide live telecast of the match from Spain.

The only problem is that the match will start late night. Fortunately, I have access to Star Sports TV Channel and I can enjoy the match.
