Apple targets MiKandi “App Store” after Amazon

After Amazon “App Store,” Apple turns its eyes to “MiKandi App Store. It is a pornography app store available on Google Android. The service received a

“cease-and-desist letter” from Apple for using its “App Store” trademark. It is the second “digital download service” targeted by Apple after Amazon.

After the warning, MiKandi changed from “App Store” to “App market.” It changed its official pitch, “the world’s first app store for adult.” It also changed its name from “MiKandi App Store” too “MiKandi App Market.”

Apple first applied for “app store” trademark in 2008 and it had been challenged by Microsoft back then challenged it for it thinks that “app store” is too generic.

Will Amazon Launch a Tablet PC to challenge Apple?

It seems that Apple is going to totally dominate the tablet device market for the near future. Motorola Xoom has not been able to take significant market share from the company. Instead, iPad 2 created a lot of buzz. Today, Lance Whitney has written in Cnet about this matter: Can any tablet challenge the iPad?
Mr. Whitney has written about the possibility of Amazon making a tablet to challenge Apple. Amazon has already seen huge success with Kindle e-book reader. I wonder whether the company would launch a tablet with the same name or will change the name.
Amazon has not announced officially anything about a new tablet but there is a strong possibility that the company will for it. If it does then it really should try to come up with a tablet that will be much cheaper than iPad, Xoom or PlayBook. If not then the tablet will not be able to compete agasint iPad.

Amazon $139 Kindle: A great gadget for Everyone

Amazon Kindle has gained a lot of popularity in the last few years and this device is a good ebook reader. Until now, the price was a bit high for most people and now with $139 Wi-Fi Kindle, it is going to be a great device for everyone at least in USA and rich European countries.
Of courses, these days, the company is facing stiff competition from other ebook reader makers and Apple iPad is perhaps a product that is also competing with Kindle.
The good thing for Amazon is that they have many books and that is why the owners of Kindle will face little problem to buy the books they like. Amazon can surely offer some discounted price for Kindle owners.
