Sub $200 Smartphones to become very Popular

While American consumers are eagerly waiting for smartphones with dual core processors and 4G LTE wireless internet facilities, for rest of the world, price is a big deal yet. According to a report of Digitimes, sub $200 smartphones will have half market share of the total smartphone industry by as early as 2013.
In 2010, this proportion was 20% and in 2011, it will go to 30%. It perhaps clearly indicates that many people even in poor countries are ready to make the switch from feature phones to smartphones. The main growth in number will mainly take place in Asian countries like India, China and Indonesia. The US market has also a lot of growth potential for the next 2-3 years.
