It is too early to Write Android Tablets off against iPad

Ever since the iPad 2 was released, Internet has been flooded with many ‘expert analysis’ on why iPad will rule and Android tablets will fail or will not be able to compete. While I really have no problem to accept that iPad 2 is even better, I just feel that it is too early to write Android tablets off.
We noticed same kind of enthusiasm in 2007 when iPhone was released by Apple. Then, all the companies wanted to make an iPhone killer but no one became successful. Perhaps, history is repeating again in the case of iPad.
Yes, iPad is the 800 pound gorilla in the tablet device industry now. Samsung Galaxy Tab or Motorola Xoom has not been able to dent on the popularity of the tablet from Apple. Secondly, iPad has huge market share over the rivals.
I just like to remind the experts that Android run smartphones have overtaken iPhone in the US market- the traditional heartland of Apple. If this can happen then why the same thing is impossible in the tablet market? The experts are perhaps too excited with iPad 2 and that is why they are writing Android tablets off. They perhaps have reached to the conclusion that Samsung, Motorola, Acer, Asus, Sony Ericsson, LG and HTC will never be able to innovate some Android based tablets that would win the heart of millions of people.
Only time will tell whether their assumption is accurate.
