Sachin Tendulkar misses 49th Test century by 2 runs

It is very pathetic to see that Sachin Tendulkar missed his 49th Test century. Scoring 189-ball 98, he was the highest run scorer in Indian innings. In his long innings, he hit 13 boundaries.

What made Indian supporters more upset was that, Sachin Tendulkar was dismissed before scoring two more runs to fulfill his 49th test century. Australian, Marcus North, trapped him lbw. Tendulkar tried to push a quicker ball from North across the line and was lbw.

Marcus North is surprised with this success as it was his first test match against India and for the first time, he got Sachin Tendulkar’s wicket. It is matter of great pride for him. Though he claimed only one wicket, it was the biggest break through for Australian cricket team.

Sachin Tendulkar was playing well against the Aussie bowlers. He was the toughest player to pick up. With his patient innings, he again proved that he is still a valuable player for Indian cricket team.

If Sachin Tendulkar stayed longer, India could make huge score and put on a huge lead ahead of Australia. He made two big partnerships in his lengthy innings. In fourth wicket stand, he made 79-run partnership with Rahul Dravid and shared more than 25,000 test runs between them. After the departure of Rahul Dravid, he made 124-run partnership with Suresh Raina in fifth wicket stand.
