Sony shows the prototype of the 3D laptop at IFA

The well-known electronics company, Sony, is going to launch its new 3D laptops. It is expected to be available from next year.

Sony announced its plan to launch new 3D laptops dubbed as Sony Vaio 3D, during the press conference in IFA 2010 technology fair in Berlin, which is called the leading trade show for consumer electronics and home appliances. It also displayed a model of the 3D Vaio laptop.

It is expected to feature a 16-inch screen with 1,920×1080-pixel resolution. According to Sony officials, the Vaio 3D laptop will provide extremely fast-response LCD screens displaying up to 240 frames per second. It will not only give users better 3D image but also put it ahead than competing products on the market.

The Vaio 3D laptop has an extra button that will help users to active the 3D mood. However, switching to the same button, users can shift to normal 2D mood. This technology can be used for movies and games too.

Users will have to buy shutter glasses to enjoy 3D technology. It is most likely to be used for both 3D movies and games.

Sony officials said the Vaio 3D laptops will also use the same 3D tech to Sony Bravia TVs. The inclusion of 'Black Frame Insertion' will give the extra clear and super results. It also has a Blu-ray drive.
