Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai: A well made movie

Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai released in theatres today. It is an underworld movie that shows the rise of gangsters in Mumbai in 70s and the 80s. The movie is directed by Milan Luthria.

Though the makers of the movie said that the characters of the movie have no resemblance with any person living or dead, news reports widely claimed that the movie is actually based on the life famous underworld don, Haji Mastan. Even Haji Mastan’s son sued the makers of the movie for derogating his father.

The movie will take you back the 70s Mumbai. It tells the story of the rise of Sultan Mirza (Ajay Devgan). Shoaib Khan (Emraan Hashmi) is the protégé of Sultan who challenges Sultan’s supremacy.

The movie shows the condition of Mumbai through the eye of a police officer, Agnel (Randeep Hooda). The movie has a very good story and the script and narration is very smooth, there are no lose ends.

Ajay Devgan played his part with great ease. This is not the first time he played the role of a gangster but playing the role of a 70s gangster requires great acting skill and the actor possesses just that. The female leads, Prachi Desai and Kangana Ranawat are also fabulous and Imran Hashmi also fitted into his character of a Shoaib very well. Even Pritam’s music is very much enjoyable and adds more to the charm of the movie.

Overall, Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai is a very well-made movie and people should go and watch it.
