Liverpool Striker Daniel Pacheco Linked with Real Sociedad

Liverpool prodigy Daniel Pacheco has revealed his interest in a move to La Liga club Real Sociedad as he is looking for more football. At Liverpool, the 19-year-old striker has made only 7 appearances since joining the club’s youth side from Barcelona in 2007.

Daniel Pacheco has displayed some tremendous performances in the ongoing U-19 European Championship 2010 and has caught the attention of many by scoring 4 goals in 4 games so far in tournament. He is currently the leading goal scorer with just the final match being left in the tournament.

Daniel Pacheco is considered as one of the brightest prospects of Spanish football and he has been displaying his scoring prowess since his early years in football. Now, the 19-year-old wants more game time and believes it would not be possible at Liverpool.

Regarding his desire to return to La Liga, Pacheco said to the media, “I don't know much about the negotiations. I'd like to play in La Liga. Above all I want game time or to fight for game time. In Liverpool I won't get this opportunity and I would love to have it. Right now the club are signing people and I don't think I will have opportunities. At 19 years old the most important thing is to continue progressing.”

No doubt, Daniel Pacheco is a highly talented player and any club would love to have someone of his quality. It is also natural that someone of Pacheco’s age and talent would love to gain more action, instead of warming the side bench.

Now, Liverpool should talk to the player and assure him of more action in the comings season. Liverpool is currently in financial crisis and does not have the ability to buy ready-made star players spending millions of pound. Here, manager Roy Hodgson has an important role and should personally talk to the Spaniard and tell him that he is very much in his plan.

The most important thing is that Liverpool, from now on, should focus more on its youth side and young players as Arsene Wenger did at a cash-trapped Arsenal. Keeping the focus solely on Premier League, Hodgson should give more opportunities to his young and fringe players in the competitions like FA Cup and Carling Cup.

Liverpool fans should also support the manager in this approach because the club is going though a tough time when they can not spend a lot, but at the same time need to keep themselves in the top four of Premier League.
