Steven Gerrard: Winning at Liverpool will not be Easy for Chelsea

Next Sunday’s match against Liverpool is a big challenge for Chelsea who are currently leading with one point of advantage over Manchester United in the league table. With 2 rounds of games ye to go before the league finishes, Chelsea can not afford any slip-up now. They have to win both the games as there is little possibility Manchester United would fail to clinch 6 points from the last two games against weak opponents.

However, Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard said that winning at Merseyside would not be that easy for the visiting side. He also revealed his hope of clinching the fourth place by which they would be qualified for Champions League next season. To finish in the top four, Liverpool has to win both of their remaining games and at the same time would expect that the team above them fail to get maximum points from the remaining games.

Interestingly, a Liverpool victory over Chelsea on Sunday would pave way for Manchester United to win their 19th league title, and thus, surpassing Liverpool’s record 18 league titles.
