West Ham United vs Arsenal FA Cup 3rd Round: Wenger going for a Young Team

Arsene Wenger has decided to field a weak eleven in the FA Cup third round match against West Ham. The match is going to take place on Sunday (3 January 2010) and it is an away match. Key players like Manuel Almunia, Samir Nasri, Andrey Arshavin, Thomas Vermaelen and William Gallas may not be seen in this match. Fábregas, Denílson and Walcott are already out due to injury and that is why, Wenger has to field a very young side for the FA Cup third round match against West Ham.
"The Premier League is always more important but, in the eyes of the fans, we are looking for trophies. However, the Premier League is so hard that you want to take care of your position. Two years ago we had a very good chance and we were not far away. At the moment we have to maintain our spirit and our attitude, and then we will have a chance, said Arsene Wenger."
Wenger has the Premier League point table in his mind. On Wednesday, Arsenal will travel to Bolton in away match. If the Gunners can win this match then they will be ahead of Manchester United and will trail leader Chelsea by just one point. Then, next Saturday, they will play against Everton at the Emirates.
