Manchester United Lucky to Draw with CSKA Moscow 3-3

It was a home match for Manchester United and it could have lost the match perhaps earlier tonight. In second half, United was trailing by 1-3 and the fans were shocked. After all, they expected it to be a very easy win. However, in the end, they could salvage a 3-3 draw. The Russian players were determined that they would not be outclassed by one of the best teams on earth. They kept their nerve intact for most of the time.

This was bizarre, breathless, beautiful stuff, parading the very worst and best of Manchester United.
Their defending was atrocious, far too deep and uncertain, but with Wayne Rooney arriving midway through the second half with United trailing 3-1, the champions of England demonstrated their eternal defiance with late goals from Paul Scholes and Antonio Valencia ensuring passage to the knockout stage of the Champions League.

Well, Manchester United has been inconsistent this season. They have lost or drawn against some easy opponents. They could go in to the next round of Champions League but it is clear that it will be a tough season for Sir Alex Ferguson to win the title of EPL or Champions League. I doubt if they would get any of them.
