Arsene Wenger: Fran Merida Agreed a New Deal

Arsene Wenger has revealed that his young prodigy Fran Merida has agreed a new deal offered by Arsenal and it is now just a matter of time he will sign the deal. Arsenal boss also said the new contract would be a two-year deal. Fran Merida has attracted attention of some Spanish clubs following his impressive performance in Arsenal’s recent league cup victory over Liverpool. Atletico Madrid and Barcelona are clearly interested to secure the player’s service as his current contract with the club ends at the end of the current season.

Wenger has also accused the clubs of trying to ‘destabilize’ his young student who was brought from Barcelona youth academy in 2007 at the age of 17. Over the last two years, the player has grown up as a top class footballer and is now ready to become the next big thing at Arsenal. Fran Merida is also happy with his life at the North London club.
