Franck Ribery: Still a Real Madrid Target?

Well, it is very difficult to say if the French midfielder Franck Ribery is still a target of Spanish giants Real Madrid. For throughout the Summer 2009 transfer window, Ribery was one of the prime targets of big-spending Real Madrid who spent huge amount to sign some of today’s best footballers in the Summer including Kaka, Cristiano Ronaldo, Kaka, Xabi Alonso and Karim Benzema.

The summer transfer window has finished now, but still there is a speculation that the French international might make a move to the Los Blancos side next season, and there are some reports available in the media suggest that Bayern Munich might have made an undisclosed deal with Real Madrid regarding Ribery’s move to Madrid next season.

However, it seems that Chelsea has also joined the race to land the 26-year-old playmaker next season. In fact, the premier league outfits made a reportedly €65million bid for the player, but was refused by the German giants. It is an indication that Chelsea would also make more efforts to sign Franck Ribery, and it seems Real Madrid would find it more difficult to acquire the service of player, even though it is true that it would only increase the players value in the market and Bayern Munich will be the ultimate winner. However, I am not sure if the Munich based club would like to release the player amid a tumultuous condition of the club.
