Manchester United Routed Wigan Athletic 5-0

Having watched the first half of the game, there was hardly anybody who could imagine that Manchester United would pull off an emphatic 5-0 away victory over Wigan Athletic. However, the reality is that United players found goals coming in a flurry in the second half of today’s premier league encounter against Wigan Athletic.

Star striker Wayne Rooney scored twice to reach his 100-goal mark for United, while Dimitar Berbatov and new recruit English striker Michael Owen also found the nets, before Portuguese winger Nani scored the fifth goal in the 90th minute.

There is no doubt, United fans are overly happy with the performance of the Red Devils, after last week’s shocking defeat at the hands of Burnley. Most importantly, all the front line strikers found goals against Wigan Athletic in what would boost up their confidence ahead of the next game against Arsenal.
