In the recently finished Alfred Dunhill championship at Leopard Creek in South Africa on December 14, 2008, Richard Sterne finished at the the top place. The 27 year old South African golfer was one shot ahead of
Tension became high when Sterned reached the par-5 18th hole. He landed in the rough but he safely finished the hole on par. The 18th hole is the most difficult one in the course. In 2007, Ernie Els lost the tournament to John Bickerton after he took eight strokes to finish the 18th hole.
