New York City Events, the catering sales subsidiary of American Golf Corporation completed the renovation of the 107-year-old Pelham/Split Rock golf course. The company spent $7 million for renovating the old buildings of the golf course inclduing the historical club house. From now on, residents of the New York City, will be able to organize various programs in the golf course including weddings, bar/bat mitzvah, business meeting, graduation ceremony, family ceremony, community events, corporate events and fundraisers. Market Watch reports:

“Pelham/Split Rock has been designed to be one of the premier event venues in New York,” says Frank Merkel, Regional Director of American Golf. “The golf course setting is exceptional because very few private courses make their facilities available for non-member events. As a municipal course, we’re able to make this unique resource available to the general public.”

One of the first public golf courses in USA, the Pelham golf course was opened in 1901. Now, New York Events restored the club house in its original condition and enhanced its facilities. The Pelham/Split Rock Golf course offers a grand banquet hall with sitting arrangements for more than two hundred people, small rooms for more intimate gatherings and corporate meetings, spacious patio for outdoor ceremonies, and customized golf packages. The golf course is situated at such a location where communication from the New York City is very good.
