Manchester United Reached Carling Cup Final after 4-2 Win over Derby County

Manchester United reached the final of Carling Cup (league cup) 2008-09 final after defeating Derby County 4-2 in the second leg of the semi final, clinching a 4-3 aggregate. Manchester United went into the match knowing the fact that they would have to overcome a 1-0 deficit as they lost the first leg on the road, United did just what was needed to reach the final of the league cup.

Manchester United was leading 3-0 at the half time with strikes from Nani, John O’Shea and Carlos Tevez. However, Derby came back in the match with two goals from Giles Barnes, but United ensured their final spot when Ronaldo stretched the lead 4-2 through a penalty. However, Manchester United is facing injury woes as Rafael, Jonny Evans, Nani and Anderson are injured out at this moment. Manchester Untied might face Tottenham Hotspur in the league cup final.
