Shaun Tait Disappointed at being Left out of Central Contract

Australian pacer Shaun Tait has expressed his disappointment at not being handed a central contract by Cricket Australia (CA). The young pacer has termed the move a kick to his teeth, but he does not think that it is the end of the world for him. CA has recently released the names of the centrally contracted players, but Tait was not among them. Shaun Tait was considered to be one of the biggest prospects of Australian team, but the pacer suffered a lot due to exhaustion and injury over the last few years.

Shaun Tait is also disappointed for being not able to take part in the ongoing IPL 2009 where he was supposed to represent defending champion Rajasthan Royals. CA medical stuff did not allow Tait to take part in this year’s IPL on fitness ground. Tait was handed a two-year contract by Rajasthan Royals. Though he could not play this year, Tait is now confident to participate in IPL next year, and he is looking to add some more years to his contract by showing good performance for Rajasthan Royals.

Well, Shaun Tait is full of talent and he has already shown his talent in international level. It is really very disappointing not to be in the central contract of the cricket board, but I think, Tait should work on his game and try to improve his skill and perform in domestic cricket so that CA can not overlook him. In fact, he is still very young, and earning a recall would not be a big deal for Shaun Tait.
