Reports out in the media suggest that Wigan Athletic’s Wilson Palacios will join Manchester for a £18million deal. It created a boom in the English media, but all the speculations stopped when Wigan Athletic manager Steve Bruce dismissed the existence of any such deal. He said that he would not be able to stop the speculation like this as people know his connection with Manchester United. The coach admitted that the midfielder from Honduras would attract the big clubs as he has been playing very well.
Fanfc reported:
"I'm never going to be able to stop speculation like that as everyone knows my connections with United. But there is no deal done, I can tell you that," the Latics boss told the Wigan Evening Post.
"The way Wilson has been playing, he is going to attract the attention of other clubs. But certainly nothing is in place at Christmas or next summer."
Manchester United has been back in form after an abject start to the premier league. Still they are in the mid table in the league standing. Perhaps, United manager Alex Ferguson wants to bolster his midfield by signing Wilson Palacios.
The 24-year old Wilson Palacios plays for Honduras national team and has already earned 55 caps in international level. After spending a year in Birmingham City, Wilson Palacios has been back to Wigan Athletic in 2008 and has been in sparkling form so far this season. Now, let us see if Manchester United can really sign the deal in the end.
