Australia vs Qatar 2008: Who Will Win?

I know that most Australian fans are now in a relax mood about the match against Qatar. The match will take place on 15 October 2008 and it is a home match for Australia. Australia has so far won all the matches in the qualifying stage of world cup 2010. So, the fans are in a very happy mood and they are confident that their national team will win it easily and convincingly.

That win followed on from a 3-0 rout over Qatar in the opening match of the first phase of qualifying in Melbourne back in February.

Much has changed for Qatar since then with the biggest change being the departure of experienced former coach Jorge Fossati - who was also in charge of Uruguay when the Socceroos beat them on penalties to qualify for the 2006 World Cup.

For Qatar, there is a lot to play for. They are not impressive until now in this campaign. They could not satisfy their supporters. So, I think that Australia will win the match easily. However, there is a caution about it because Harry Kewell, Mark Bresciano, Vince Grella and Carl Valeri will not be available for the match because of injury. Harry Kewell is a good player and his presence always inspires his team mates in the national side. So, I think that without these four players, Australia’s midfield will become weaker.
