Chelsea Eyeing on Moving Nine Points Clear of Manchester United

Chelsea will face defending Champion Manchester United at home next Sunday. The high-profile match is very important for both sides, considering the fact that Chelsea could created a nine-point lead over Manchester United who are current at the middle of the table with only 4 points from 3 premier league matches. Chelsea, on the other hand, leads the table with 10 points from 4 matches, ahead of second-placed Liverpool on goal difference.

Manchester United lost to Liverpool in the first big-four clash last Saturday. Another defeat for Manchester United would see them going behind by nine points from Chelsea at this early stage of premier league. Manchester United won the premier league as well as the Champions league last season and started the season as most favorite in both the competitions. However, their current form does not show anything impressive ahead of next Sunday’s high-profile clash at Manchester United.

Sir Alex Ferguson is not happy with the way his defenders gave away goals against Liverpool. The manager is adamant his boys would not do the same thing against Chelsea this Sunday. Dimitar Berbatov, though, missed their Champions League opener against Villarreal due to knee injury, star winger Cristiano Ronaldo made his first appearance in the season against Villarreal.

Meanwhile, Arsenal and Liverpool would expect a Manchester United victory on Sunday in what they would get the chance to go atop the table ahead of the Chelsea. Now, one thing is for sure that Chelsea will be gearing up to take the revenge of their defeat to Manchester United at the final of Champions League last season, while Manchester United will be focused on improving their from.
