Manchester United Worried about Dimitar Berbatov Deal

Manchester United clinched a narrow margin victory over Portsmouth this week which manager Alex Ferguson considers an excellent performance, considering the previous experiences of suffering setbacks at Portsmouth. However, Ferguson is now worried about the likely deal with Tottenham Hotspur for the Bulgarian striker Dimitar Berbatov.

Manchester United has been tracking Berbatov all through the Summer, but still the club could not yet come under an agreement with Tottenham for a possible move of Berbatov. Tottenham is demanding more than £30 million, while Manchester United raised their offer up to £25 million so far after a series of negotiations. However, Tottenham has taken a strong position on this regard.

Meanwhile, Berbatov sat out for Tottenham’s home defeat to Sunderland last weekend. The reason for which Berbatov was absent in the squad was that he was considered psychologically unfit. Manager Juande Ramos said that he would assess the condition of Berbatov in the training before deciding over Berbatov’s inclusion in the squad for the next match against Chelsea.

So, I think, a likely deal for Dimitar Berbatov is not yet confirmed yet. Now, let us see if Manchester United can really manage to complete the deal before the Summer transfer window closes.
