Real Madrid has not Given up on Cristiano Ronaldo, Says President Ramon Calderon

Manchester United midfielder Cristiano Ronaldo has been the prime target of Real Madrid all through the summer. There have been lots of rumors, speculation over his possible move to Spanish giant Real Madrid. However, Manchester United rejected Real’s two bids for the Portugal international. Glazer family, owners of Manchester United, is not interested to sell their biggest asset to Real Madrid.

However, Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon has recently confirmed that the Spanish club has not given up on Ronaldo rather they want to go with ‘wait and see’ approach on this issue. Mr. Calderon thinks that Ronaldo and United have to resolve the matter between them. He is happy and fell pride and satisfied upon hearing Ronaldo’s wish to play for Real Madrid.

Ramon Calderon has made it clear that Real Madrid has nothing to do here, if Manchester United does not let Ronaldo go as he is still under contract with Manchester United. However, if Ronaldo could manage to make United agree on this issue, Real Madrid would be there with their offer, Mr. Calderon has added.

Cristiano Ronaldo was instrumental behind Manchester United’s double win last season, becoming highest goal scorer in both English premier league and Champions League. It is clear that Manchester United will not leave any stone unturned to keep Ronaldo at the club in the next season.
