Naturally, the Valencia striker has become the new target of the European clubs. According to reports out in the media immediately after Euro 2008, David Villa was one of the options Liverpool was considering to sing in for the next season. However, recently Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez admitted that he was no longer considering David Villa; rather he is interested to get Tottenham Hotspur striker Robbie Keane.

With the recent departure of striker Peter Crouch for Portsmouth, Liverpool has got to get a new striker to team up with Fernando Torres next season. Torres was in an excellent form at Liverpool scoring 33 goals last season, his debut season at Liverpool. Villa also scored 18 goals for his club Valencia last season. So, his move to Liverpool could have formulated an all-Spanish attack at Liverpool.
