Midfielder Andrei Arshavin Wants to Join Arsenal

Russia’s hero in Euro 2008, Andrei Arshavin, is interested to move to Arsenal because he thinks that his style of play best suits to Arsenal’s style of football. The midfielder showed phenomenal performance in Euro 2008 leading Russia to the semi final. Since then, European clubs are running for the striker. So far, Arshavin has been linked with moves to Chelsea, Barcelona and Arsenal.


Arsenal, on the other hand, is going to lose midfielder Alex Hleb, who will join Spanish club Barcelona very soon. So, Arsene Wenger can not expect a better a replacement of Helb in the squad. However, the problem is that Arshavin’s current club Zenit St. Petersburg is demanding as high as $48 million for the midfielder and at the same time, you know that Arsenal is not the club of big signing. So, Arshavin’s possible move to Arsenal is still uncertain. Now, let us see if Arsenal can be bale to get the midfielder for the next season.
