Manchester United’s Dutch goal keeper Edwin van der Sar thinks Cristiano Ronaldo has no reason to leave the club for Real Madrid. The veteran goal keeper was instrumental behind Manchester United’s double triumph last season. According to van der Sar, Manchester United is a great club with a great stadium and great fans and he sees opportunities to win more titles with Manchester United. Though he does not indicate anything directly while commenting on Ronaldo’s rumored move to Spanish giant Real Madrid, the 37-year-old goal keeper tries to show how great a team Manchester United has in them.
Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo has been the target of Real Madrid throughout the Summer and Ronaldo has also expressed his wish to play for Real Madrid. However, Manchester United is adamant they would not make any deal with Real Madrid on this regard and they do not want to lose Ronaldo at this moment. Real already found two of their record bid rejected by Manchester United and had already offered record salary for Ronaldo.
Yes, I agree with van der Sar on the fact that Manchester United has a great team and fans, but I do not think that this will make Ronaldo convinced to stay at Manchester United for at least another season.
