Chelsea vs Manchester United: Updates for 8 May 2008

The day of the final match of Champions League 2007-2008 between Chelsea and Manchester United is approaching. Ahead of the final match scheduled to take place at the Luzhniki Stadium of Moscow on 21 May 2008, organizers have alerted the fans of both sides reach the stadiums in small groups and little early, in order to avoid any rush which could cause accidents.

Many fans will have to spend the night at the streets because of getting no hotels rooms available. The hotel rooms are expected to be sold out long before the match day, because on the occasion of the final match there will be heavy rush. According to a report, Moscow can provide accommodation to just a quarter of 42,000 British football fans who are going to attend the match.

The artificial pitch of Luzhniki Stadium has been replaced by a grass pitch ahead of the match. Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson is thinking about keeping Wayne Rooney in the substitutes’ list in the title deciding match of Manchester United against Wigan Athletic next weekend, even though Rooney is fit enough to take part in the match. May be, Ferguson does not want to take any more risks with his top gun of the attack ahead of the Champions league match.

There is good news for the British football fans. Those of the British football fans are going to attend the Champions League final will not require the Russian visa, in stead, the match ticket will be enough to get the entrance to Russia. The foreign ministry of Russia has recently confirmed it.

Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech is thinking that his new orange kit will distract the strikers in which, he believes, Chelsea has enough chance to win Premier League and Champions League double. Does it seem to be a threat for Ronaldo, Rooney and Tevez?
