Dwayne Bravo: First Player from Trinidad and Tobago in IPL

West Indian all rounder Dwayne Bravo has joined Indian Premier League (IPL) team, Mumbai Indians yesterday, which means this youngster is now available for Mumbai’s opening match against Bangalore Royal Challengers today. Dwayne Bravo has become the first player from Trinidad and Tobago to join IPL. Because of joining Mumbai Indians, Bravo would miss his country’s Carib Challenge Shield Final against Jamaica next week. However, he seems to get the support Trinidad and Tobago team manager Colin Borde who said that Bravo’s inclusion in IPL is matter of pride for the Trinidadian.

Thaindian reported:

“I think everybody is excited (about Bravo) playing with Sachin, Harbhajan Singh and Shaun Pollock,” Borde was quoted as saying in the Trinidad Express.

“I think it’s good for him. As a Trinidadian you must feel proud… he’s the first guy (from Trinidad and Tobago) to get into the IPL,” he added.

No doubt, Dwayne Bravo seems to be very lucky that he has no pressure from his domestic side in participating in Indian Premier League. He is one of the most promising cricketers of West Indies cricket. I think, the way he is playing now, he has every quality to lead West Indies in all form of cricket in future. Now, let us see if Dwayne Bravo can live up to the expectation of Mumbai Indians fans.
