Cristiano Ronaldo Focuses on Titles, not Goals

Manchester United winger Cristiano Ronaldo says that he wants to win titles for Manchester United besides scoring. The Portuguese international scored his 30th goal of the season during Manchester United’s 1-0 Champions League victory against Olympique Lyonnais. With this victory, Manchester United has confirmed their quarter final berth in Champions League. In his reaction, Ronaldo said that he felt very good and he wanted to score more goals this season. However, on top of all, he wants to win games and trophies.

Goal.com reported:

"I've scored a few important goals and I want to keep going like that. I want to score more goals.
"But the most important thing is for the team to win games and trophies. We're playing really well and we're in three competitions.
"Now we need to be strong for 15 more games to finish the season."

Ronaldo has been in an impressive form so far this season. The midfielder is currently leading the highest scorers’ list of both Premier league and Champions league. He netted 21 goals in Premier league, while his six Champions League goals allow him share the top place with Barcelona’s Lionel Messi.

The way Ronaldo is scoring these days it seems that scoring goals has become a fashion to Cristiano Ronaldo. Manchester United is now a point behind the leaders Arsenal at the top of Premier League. Manchester United is also active in FA Cup. Manchester United hosts Portsmouth next Saturday in the quarter final of FA Cup.

If Ronaldo go on scoring in similar fashion in the remainder of the season, then it would be a huge boost for his team in the pursuit to defend the Premier League title, win Champions league and FA Cup titles.
