Chelsea Captain John Terry Upbeat ahead of Arsenal Clash

Chelsea will host Arsenal in a mouth-watering premier league clash tomorrow. This is going to be a very important match for both sides. Ahead of the match, Chelsea captain John Terry seems to be very confident. He has said that football teams sometimes need scrappy goal when the players are not at their top form and this is where, Terry sees advantage for Chelsea. According to him, Arsenal lacks this quality. Though he admitted that when the players like Emmanuel Adebayor and Cesc Fabregas are at their right form Arsenal is exceptional, they can not cope up with the situation when it does not go well. Terry stressed more on winning game rather than playing well and losing the match.

Goal.com reported:

"Fans want to see nice football but more than anything they want to see you picking up points and trophies," he said. "If you lose one game, maybe they will say: 'Yeah, but we played well so I'll settle for that'.

"But you lose two or three games and that goes out of the window; suddenly, the pressure is on the players, the manager and the club.

"So we know that we can match anybody. We can pass anybody off the pitch. But there are also times when we need to go forward, hit Didier [Drogba], hit Nico [Nicolas Anelka], and pick up the second ball.

Actually, Chelsea has one of the strongest squads among the premier league teams. However, their performance so far this season has not been that much impressive though they have been pretty regular in picking up the three points in premier league. It is true that Chelsea has suffered a lot due to a series of injury blows that affected their performance. Arsenal started off very well in the season and has been quite impressive, but their performance of late is not that much satisfactory. Now, Arsenal is in a run of four successive draws in premier league. Chelsea still two points behind the Arsenal. So, if Chelsea can win the match, they will climb over Arsenal to take the second place in the table. For Arsenal, they can not afford to lose any more points if they really want to win the title this season. So, both teams will try their best to pick up three points from the match.
