Arsene Wenger Keen to Keep Mathew Flamini at Arsenal

Arsene Wenger has made it clear that he is interested to keep midfielder Mathieu Flamini at Arsenal and is looking forward to a new deal with this talented midfielder. Wenger knows very well what a terrific job the French international has been doing for Arsenal so far this season. Arsenal’s current deal with Flamini is going to expire at the end of the season. There is speculation out in the media that Mathew Flamini is going to leave the North London club in a move to join Juventus in the Summer transfer window.

guardian-series reported:

"That's not true,"

"I'm not looking for any replacements for Flamini. I am first looking to keep my players together," Wenger told Arsenal TV.

"The second step, then we will see but my first intention is to keep the players I have.

"We are on course there, negotiations are going well and we hope to sort that out in April."

Arsenal started the season with no big star in its squad following Thierry Henry’s departure to join Barcelona. Many football analysts did not take much time to write Arsenal’s fate off to win any silverware this season. It is true that they have not win any title so far this season yet, but they are still very much active in Premier league and Champions league. Wenger’s young guns stunned the opposite team ruling the premier league most of the time. Flamini was one of those young players of Arsenal who have been in an impressive run so far this season. That is why, it is very natural that Arsene Wenger would happily keep him at Arsenal. Now, let us see if Flamini goes on with the Gunners or moves to any other clubs looking for a brighter future.
