Michael Carrick Happy with the Performance of Paul Scholes

Paul Scholes has showed some of his impressive form in Manchester United’s recent victory over Portsmouth at home. The English midfielder played in the starting line up for the time since his return to action after recovering from a knee injury. Having seen his impressive from, fellow midfielder and team mate Michael Carrick has said he was happy with what Scholes showed in the last match. Despite having a probable challenge to hold on his place in the Manchester United midfield with the return of Scholes, Michael Carrick expressed that Scholes’s return would boost up everyone in the team.

Premiershiplatest reported:

"It's great to have Scholesy back," Carrick told MUTV. "We have been getting good results without him in the team, so to have him back now is a boost to everyone.

"He's a top, top player. You saw against Portsmouth what he can do, and he seemed to fit in like he has never been away. It’s great to see him back."

"Every one of the midfielders is playing really well," he says. "But we all know that we're not going to play in every single game. But it's not a case of getting dropped, it's about resting players and keep everyone in top shape and in good form. That's certainly the case at the moment. Hopefully we can all stay sharp for the run-in, that will only help us."

There is no doubt, Manchester United is now in their great form with almost all the players are in good form and doing their job well for the side. So, it would be very difficult for everyone to hold on their place in the starting line up unless they can perform with sheer consistency. So, Manchester United fans should be happy with the return of Paul Scholes in the first team.
