John Terry to Come Back with the Carling Cup Final

Chelsea defender John Terry is on his way to recover fully from his foot injury. The English defender has been out of action since 16 December last year and missed a number of important matches for Chelsea. However, the defender is now hopeful to come back in action for the Carling Cup final on 24 February. Chelsea will face Tottenham Hotspur in the Carling Cup final and John Terry’s come back will definitely help Chelsea to win the title.

However, Chelsea coach Avram Grant is now yet confirmed about the imminent return of his captain. The coach has expressed his happiness on the news of Terry’s return to training this Friday. However, he is not that much optimistic about John Terry’s return with the final match of Carling Cup.

BBC reported:

"We think he'll be back in three weeks - I think the cup final will be too soon but we will see," said Grant.

"He wants to do everything he can to be fit as soon as possible."

Grant admits Terry's imminent return is a major boost for the Blues, as they prepare for the run-in to the end of the season.

"It is very good news about John returning to training sooner than we thought," added Grant.

"He trained on Friday and Saturday and everybody was happy to see him, of course."

Chelsea has some more reasons to cheer on. Midfielder Frank Lampard returned in action in their goal less draw against Liverpool yesterday. All of their African stars will be back this week. So, Chelsea seemingly has a good time ahead of them in the remainder of the season. Chelsea has suffered a lot with a series of injury problems this season and when the African players left the club to represent their countries in the African Nations Cup. Now, let us see if Chelsea players can keep themselves in the title race.
