Arsene Wenger Happy with Luke Freeman at the Beginning

Arsenal has been in an impressive run in premier league so far with apparently no star players in the squad. However, they have been dominating the other teams in the league with sheer consistency. Coach Arsene Wenger has been leading a youthful side in the season. So, there were many who though that Wenger would recruit a few star players in the January transfer window. However, the reality is that he did not go for any big star. In fact, he did not recruit anyone for the senior side of Arsenal.

Wenger recruited a 15-year-old, Luke Freeman from league one side Gillingham after a series of negotiations. Now, it seems that he has made a successful signing as Freeman impressed him on the first day in the training. Feeman has signed on student registration and will sign on professional contract when he turns 17.

Goal.com reported:

"When he came in on the first day, I took him with me to see what his characteristics were," Wenger said.

"He has had a good education at Gillingham and I am impressed by his personality.

"He is brave, knows what he wants and he is a lively guy in the box.

"He is 15 years old and it is down to him to progress."

Wenger is an experienced coach who is capable of reading the insight of a player. So, Arsenal fans can hope to see a future star in Luke Freeman. However, he needs to develop his game in order to reach that level. So, there are many coaches who pressured to the club owners to spend more money on play recruitment. This is where, Arsene Wenger is different from others. He has signed a 15-year-old boy, but seems to be the best recruit of winter transfer window.
