Arsenal Face No Effect of Thierry Henry’s Move

Arsenal has been in an impressive run this season in premier league. With five points lead at the top, Arsenal is now the strongest contender of the title of premier league this season. However, it was not the case when their all time highest goal scorer Thierry Henry left the club ahead of the kick off this season. It came as more than a shock to the Arsenal fans. Many wrote off Arsenal having no chance to win any title this season. However, Arsenal is active in FA Cup besides premier league, while they made it to the round of 16 in Champions League.

However, Arsene Wenger said that his boys will focus on increase the lead in premier league, in stead of making difference between themselves and other contenders of the title. He wants to see Arsenal play like a challenger and keep their spirit.

Chicago Tribune reported:

"We're not foolish. It's far from being over," Wenger said after Monday's 2-0 victory over Blackburn.
"I don't want my team to focus on the difference between us and the rest. I want us to focus on strengthening our lead, asserting our authority and winning every game. I want us to play like real challengers. We have to keep our humility, our spirit and the way we want to play."

Arsenal is yet to travel to Manchester United and Chelsea this season. So, both the matches are very crucial for the title pursuit of all the three clubs. If Arsenal can stave off the challenges of Manchester United and Chelsea then it is for sure that Arsenal would go very close to another premier league title. Now, it seems that Arsenal is not feeling their former star Thierry Henry, not at least in the field.
