New England Patriots vs Jacksonville Jaguars: Key Players to Lead Jaguars

Ahead of the match against New England Patriots in the divisional round, Jacksonville Jaguars can dream of causing an upset if their key players play according to their merit. The likes of David Garrard, Fred Taylor and Maurice Jones-Drew must have to appear in their best form if Jaguars are keen to win the match. Fred Taylor and Maurice Jones-Drew have become one of the dominating running back pairs in the season. So, much of their success depend of the performance of these key players.

Sporting Life reported:

Taylor ripped off five consecutive 100-yard games to close the regular season, although he was limited to 48 against the Steelers.

Backfield mate Maurice Jones-Drew scored two touchdowns - one rushing and one receiving - and set up a third with a 96-yard kick-off return. Last season, Jones-Drew rushed for 131 yards in a 24-21 loss to New England.

Garrard, who had a spectacular regular season with 18 touchdowns and three interceptions in his first season as a starter, was shaky against the Steelers but made the play of the game with a 32-yard run on fourth-and-two to set up the winning field goal.

It is obvious that Patriots are favorite for this match. However, Jaguars can make the chances if their key players can live up to the expectations. Now, let us see if they can play as a team against the Patriots. What I hope is to see an exciting match that fans will enjoy the fullest of it.
