In the betting sites, bettors are more interested to New England Patriots. Compared to their divisional round opposition Jacksonville Jaguars, people are spending more on the Patriots. Yes, this is logical too. They have been the only forth team in the history of NFL to finish the regular season without losing any match. Naturally, bettors will be much more interested to spend their money on the Patriots. Well, betting odds has nothing to do with the result of a match or the performance of a team.
So, Jacksonville Jaguars has enough chance to cause an upset on Saturday when they travel to Patriots home ground to take on the home side in the divisional round playoff match. Actually, the wild card match performance of Jaguars is not that much satisfactory, though the start off well like a favorite team. In their 31-29 victory over the Petersburg Steelers, the Jaguars were impressive in the first half, whereas their performance was totally opposite in the later part.
Betus reported:
The Patriots have too many flaws on the defensive side of the ball to cover in this game. I am very surprised that the line is what is considering that the Patriots finished the regular season by NOT covering in their last three games.
It is true that Patriots defense was not as impressive as their offense was in the regular season. Actually Tom Brady and Randy Moss were instrumental in their imperious form of NFL 2007 regular season. For Jaguars, two running backs Fred Taylor and Maurice Jones-Drew played a big part in the season. So, it is not fair at all say that Patriots are going to win the match. Yes, a die hard Patriots fans would say that, but I think, Jaguars has the ability to cause an upset. However, there is no doubt, Patriots are favorite in the match.
